tow mirror

I have a 2002 Avalanche I bought used. Came with new style tow mirrors that had nothing working. Opened up door, did some research found out they were 03-06 wired mirrors and not 99-02. I hard wired the power/signals/puddle to work properly, but am having problems with the defrost option...

Hey y'all, I'm upgrading my 08 avy's mirrors to some tow mirrors. I have 2015 ones already but they do not fit, does anyone know of a way to modify them to fit on my door? I don't think the wiring will be too harsh, I found harnesses on boost auto. Thanks for the help in advance!
