are the 02 Avalanche engine hoods the same as the 03-04 silverados?, the reason I ask is I was looking at a custom bug sheild, but they were only listing the 03-04 Silverados

02 Avy hoods?? for bug deflector

The 02 only came cladded (body hardware) and the 02-04 cladded are all the same, but all the 03-04 WBH (Without Body Hardware) I belive from other posts are the same, so the short answer is NO it is not the same!
Sorry but it will not fit (without adjustment - cause ther are folks here that can make anything fit!)

gm and many companies make bug deflectors for the cladded avy....
some threads in here will show you some vendors

N1NCZ is right...My wife ordered a bugdelector II for my 04 WBH and it did not fit...They assumed it was with cladding...I took it back and specified it was a WBH and they told me that the bugdeflector I needed was the same as an 03-04 Silverado.
