Kay, got well had a 03 ava  that was in a roll over,    got a 04 top for it and got everything done paint and all that jazz. all i have left is the inside.  The new top came with a stock overhead monitor with DVD player. And the plugs for that and the on star are one.  so i was wondering if anyone had diagrams so i could wire in the new DVD player and get the on star working again.  Thanks  Cliff Help me!

I could not find a diagram but I'm sure someone can get it for you. Now I have a question for you how hard is it to change roof panels I looked at mine and it seem to be attached only in a few places

The On* should just be the antenna connections to your present unit (VCIM). If you did not have OnStar as OEM, you may run into a bit of a hassle as they won't retrofit accounts to a vehicle sold new (OEM) without it.

RSE Diagrams (SOME) are located in the CAFCNA Tech center with other's you may find useful.

HTH! :)

um both had oem on star and there is 4 wires or so for the on star.  i just need to know what wires are what for the overhead DVD system. cant seem to find a diagram anywhere.  and as for the roof panel i did not actually have to touch mine,  cut the old roof off about midway between the front windshield and so on back, and put the new one on. didnt touch the roof panel. But  i dint think it would be to hard to remove.

OK.. the only difference would be the XM if you have it. 04's are single cable and 03's are dual.

The OnStar antenna wiring feeds down through the right A-Pillar and over to the module. there should be a cable each.. one for the phone and one for the GPS.

The RSE diagram in the link I posted should show the wire colors for your connections.
Since your adding this, you may need to order some terminals (#12089649 ($8.80 /10 Bag)), unless the wires have the connectors on them. If so, the RSE audio wiring connects to SP250, which is a shorting connector between the left of the airbag/glovebox and the right of the radio/hvac frame.

The DATA connection goes to SP207 (2 consecutive posts), which is way over to the area of the parking brake pedal assembly; a flat-black connector.

Audio (3), DATA (1) and power (1). Then a ground besides the one with the audio. Remember, the diagrams will expand so you can view them better. How, depends on your browser's image viewer access.

Do i need to have the data wire hooked up? cause i fed it a power and ground and got nothing out of the overhead system.  I looked to find the data wire connection and could not find it.  any suggestions?
