'04 Avalanche Instrument Cluster - Temp Gauge - Stepper Motor?

My wife has a '04 Avalanche 1500, had it since 2007, she loves it.

I have had the instrument cluster out about 5 years ago to replace the speedometer stepper motor, easy to do.

Last year the tach started acting up, needs a stepper motor, just have not gotten a chance to replace the stepper motor.

Now the temperature gauge is pegging all the way to the right. Could that be a stepper motor issue as well or is that gauge different than the speedometer and the tach?

Anyone know the tach stepper motor part number? I can't seem to find it?

Any ideas on the temperature gauge issue?

Yes the temp gauge is a stepper motor.
I think this is the new and improved version X27 168.

Thanks for the reply!

Seems like they use the same stepper motor for all the gauges?

I was also wondering if the temp sending unit could be an issue?

Any idea what the difference is between the X25 and X27 versions of the stepper motor?

Yes all the stepper motors are the same on the cluster.
Can you pull the sending unit and place it in hot water and check the resistance change with a meter?
