'07 Avalanche Dome Light Override Button

I have just bought a '07 Avalanche. I didn't know this was a button until after I bought it. The dome override button seems to be stuck/pushed into the dash and doesn't work, so my dome lights are not coming on when the doors are open. Anybody else have this issue? Any thoughts on how to fix it? Thanks.

You can replace the headlight switch pack for around $30. Here is a video on how to replace.

You might even get lucky and be able to open up the switch pack and clean some contacts/slides, pop a spring back into place or something simple like that. I'd take out the switch pack and see if it looks serviceable (some way to open it).
