Well, Larry finally got these things after we've been waiting for a while and I placed my order right away. It showed up out of the blue today, so I stuck the thing on there. Removing the rear stock bow tie wasn't nearly as difficult as I thought it would be. Get you one of these things 07 owners (if you fancy a chrome or polished rear bow tie that is), it's a piece of cake to install. Here's some pix.

Looks great. I bought one, but I have not installed it yet.

I can see the sun being at just the right angle so that the driver behind is uttering lots of four letter words.

BTW, I see that Gamecocks license frame. USC, class of '71 here.

It does perfect the look of that Silver Birch Metallic, AVcop!

I got that from one of our site partners here at CAFCNA, Larry "Supermobile" . I just removed the rear bow tie. It's held on the tailgate with 3M tape. I pried off the yellow bow tie insert first, then pried up the silver trim portion. I used 30lb. fishing line, a small screwdriver, and a tad bit of patience and it came right off. After that's done, just place the chrome or polished bow tie on there, make sure it sticks, and you're all done. And I agree, Johnec, it will look great on your AV! Here's a link to Larry's site:

Thanks a lot AVcop778!, that visit to that web site just cost me $375.00, but one of the items I purchased was that silver bow-tie.

Hey there, Johnec... be sure to get a GREAT shot of the tailgate posted once you've got your chrome bowtie on there!
