I just picked up a pretty sweet 2008 LTZ. Enjoyed the 30 mi ride home.

The people at the used car lot advised just look through the manual to see how to get my phone to connect. Well I think this radio isn't bluetooth capable? There is an AUX option. Would this allow me to use the phone through the radio? Also a usb port would be nice to play things from my iPod, not finding that either. Options?

I'm not sure what year introduced Bluetooth, but try this video here:

You use the steering wheel controls and voice to pair. It does not do Bluetooth music, only phone calls.

If there is a USB port, it would be in the center console, on the rear wall. If you have USB, there is enough room near the hinges to route a USB cable out of the console without pinching the wire, I just leave it connected all the time.

Thanks, I tried that and failed. Maybe it can't understand East Tennessee version of English, but I found info indicating GM started bluetooth in 2009 ☹️
Surely there is an adapter. Off to search and educate.

Bummer, any luck on the USB port?

No luck finding a usb port inside or outside the console. There is some device facing the rear seats, I'll assume it has to do with the DVD player and it has a red and 2 yellow female connections that look like RCA connections but seem a bit smaller than what I remembered. I wonder if a fellow found a RCA to usb wire (if it exist) would it feed only the DVD player? Lucky a manual came with this vehicle. Thanks, Off to do more research.

Your only options are to install a new head unit that has Bluetooth built-in or something like I did. I'm happy with it but at some point when I hit the lotto millions I'll update the head unit. I'm no audiophiles...

There are sadly no usb ports in the 08. But good news is that you do not need a whole need head unit to get bluetooth in the truck. Scosche makes/use to make a unit that interfaced through the onstar system that added bluetooth for calls and radio. It was called bluefusion. you might beable to find it around still. Ill check around and see if I still have my old one laying around.

Thanks dcn427, I was busy today but may have a chance to check a couple of junk yards and an audio shop tomorrow. I'll see what they have to offer.

As mentioned in the other thread you started on the same subject contact customer service at Crutchfield for info and help with your needs.....
