100,000 Mile Club

I am new to the forum, but wanted to share that my 04 8.1 hit 100,000 miles about 600 miles ago, and my 03 5.3 hit 100,000 four years ago! The 03 is at 156,452 miles and runs great. The only thing that has broke on either truck is a fuel pump in the 03.  Was making a whining noise at about 132,000 miles and finally stoped working.

Sidenote: if your fuel pump is loud, just change it!!!

Well I have joined the 100,000 mile club, on my way home from quading on the beach I turned 100K on my AV.  AZFun has pic of my miles at 99,999 and I have one at 100,000 SO any one else have 100K on there AV post here lets make our own "Nation"

Running 152K on mine and still feels as tight as it did in 2004........ gotta keep up the maintenance.......

bought mine with 109,000 a year ago, and and hit a 120,000 last week, mines pretty good for an 11 year old truck.  :B:

I bought mine new in 03 with 30 miles on it.  Today I have 117,972.  And I have enjoyed every mile.

Now up to 325K. Upper control arm bushing went out on passenger side. I would expect these things to last longer. Only been off road couple hundred times.....

I bought my Av about a week and a half ago with just over 128k on it. This afternoon I noticed it was 128888. Onward and upward!

Captn---

2004 AV 4x4 bought 2 years ago about a month ago with 42,000 on her from first owner as I am now second owner I turned over 100,000 miles in June sitting at 104,000 as of today!!!

Picked up a 2005 Avalanche this weekend that had 119,000 on it so I guess I'm a proud member of the 100K+ club as well.

Welcome to the club!  Enjoy your beautiful new truck.  It is just broken in.  :welcome:

Just bought a 2004 with 184,000 and 5915 hours on it.
Great condition, has had the gearbox rebuilt by the previous owner.

Been away for a while - not a lot of maintenance needs I guess.  Just crossed 150K miles on my 02 Ave.  Was reading the threads on coolant missing from expansion tank with no obvious leakage over last 6 months.  Was worried about head crack (other posts), but oil was good, no exhaust smoke.  Was too apprehensive to even check under the valve covers.  Anyway, after about 6 months, I noticed a small stain on the driveway one morning.  Led me to the water pump.  Checked shaft seal weep hole from underneath while engine running and stopped and found slow drip from behind pump. The left 'pump to block' seal had failed completely.  With the help of info on this site and Youtube videos, pulled pump, changed gaskets, thermostat and belt tensioner and bolted up again.  Problem solved.  (y)  Issues? I had a number of front suspension failures early on and an electrical issue under the headliner (vanity mirror lamp wires were wrapped around mounting screws and insulation was torn, shorting out - no courtesy lights).  The only issue I have now is SES light on, "bank 2, sensor 2" failure.  New sensor, problem still there. Swapped sensor with one from another location, problem stays on bank 2, sensor 2 input.  Truck has been passing air inspections so far, but new testing procedure this year will mandate that I get this fixed once and for all - or scrap truck.  (n)  Oh, A/C compresser seized a year ago too - never fixed that.

We're at 123 000 and drives as new, secret is...maintenance, maintenance and love
