Just as stated above I want to add my Sound Ordinance power sub to my Bose CenterPoint Surround system and retain the stock sub. I purchased a Audio Control LC2i 2 Channel Line Out Converter to use the signal from the rear speakers to wake up the sub. I plan on tapping into both left and right channels and run RCA cables to the sub. Power wire from the battery and a ground wire will also be needed but I have read I may get some interference.
I have read that some Bose systems will need the line in convertor to get the signals from the head unit before the amp.
That is why I am reaching out to see if anyone here has installed an aftermarket sub in this manner and if it will work.

I can't say for sure, as I've not done this specific application, nor is converting line leads back into source/signal leads something I would suggest. but  in your application, I can't see how/why you would get "interference" from the line levels to the rear doors. The LC2i does take the line level signal and amplify/convert it to a pretty strong (9.5V) preamp output as I'm sure you're aware, but if there was source signal distortion or interference present, I would think that you would be able to identify it via the rear door drivers. Not an answer, but some food for thought.

I read possibly on the Tahoe forum I think, of interference from the OnStar mic which I don't use, but I wouldn't be without the Bluetooth mic. I don't touch the phone while in the drivers seat. I just hope to not spend tracing wires, tapping into them and all the work if it may not work. Research research research I always say...

What little I have found on this subject leads me to believe that I need to tap in between the head unit and the Bose amplifier.

Any suggestions on the easier access point for this? I thought someone posted under the console top but that was in an older AV and mine is a 2013.

ever get anywhere with this? just got an LC7 and about to do similar.. the instructions with the audiocontrol make it seem like power needs to come from the lines after the amp tho, not before

I actually took the SO sub to a local shop and paid them to install it. They said the purest source was at the amp and I believe they tapped the Bose amp out and with LC2i 2 channel line out converter into the SO sub. I have the imputt to the SO sub turned way down and use the gain knob to fine tune between differant songs or completely off for talk radio. It does not sound bad, just had to tweek the settings for awhile.
