17inch to 20/22inch size question

What is the correct tire size equivalent, when replacing the OE 17" rims with 20" rims. In addition, is there a correct tire size for 22" rims.

This is my first post...I don't know all the etiquette yet or how to spell either. I just bought an "04 Z66 (dark Blue) pretty much loaded. My question is I am considering getting 20" rims with Goodyear Eagle 285/50's. Can i put 275/55's on without them rubbing?

Error  is about 0.6% I think! Can't come much closer than this!!
