Hey everyone. Well I just got wheels and now im ready for a descent stereo system. I was wondering.....has anyone on here fit 2 10" subs under there back seat??? Im thinking of getting 2 he'2 subs for my truck and didnt want to buy them yet and ask if anyone on here has 2 10's under the back seat....if so can you please post a pic. THanks guys.

What's the depth of those subs? I think you should have roughly 6.5 inches (correct me if I'm wrong) between the carpet and the bottom of the seat, this being based on my -02.
I have a set of 10" infiniti's that will fit underneith the seat. They have a 5.5" depth so IF I'm going that route I would have to get creative with the fiber glass to make it fit. You can always raise the seat .25 - .5 inches using some washers, I think other members have done that to get some extra clearance. Or you can remove the plastic trim underneith the seat and gain some space there too.
Personally I'm in the process of making a fiber glass box to house my two 10" (soon to be 4) behind the seat but its going to take more than just slapping a box together. I need to lift my rear seat approximately .5 inches and pull it forward about the same amount but it should give me the clearance I'm looking for. Not much more but its doable.

I put 2 RF 10'' HX 2's under my rear seat (2004 Avalanche). I have them in a single box that I had to sand down a little to get to fit, but it fits. I got my box and subs off of ebay.....

ebay is awesome for this stuff!!!!! I had to sand the inside of the speaker box to get it to fit the subs and I had to sand down the ends of the box so that it would fit between the rear seat supports. I also removed a support bar from under the rear seat, it was closer to the passenger side rear seat and it didn't appear to serve any function...so I decided to take it out!!!! I had to remove the plastic covers under the seats and the amp is mounted to the back of the seat. It sounds awesome!!!! Lots of bass!!!! I will take a pic of box and amp mounted and post soon.

Nice. Pics would be great. Ive considered the 4-banger but if i could fit 2-10" hx2's they would sound 10 times better than 4 6.5". Those are the 1000watt subs fosgate make right?? Those were the best model subs they made. I was gonna try two he2's but if hx2's fit.......ill get them. Thanks

Rob

do not under estimate the sound the 4-banger produces. i do not own one. i have heard them. sounds really nice for the package. takes up little room. it could probably sound even better with a different hook-up technique. i.e., another amp, installer, etc... i don't know. but i was impressed with what i heard. and if you want real nice sound you need to get the mid-gate sub enclosure. 10's under the seat will be hampered with small enclosure dimensions. you have to be able to get the seats latched with whatever you put underneath them.

here are a few pics of one that a member is selling...

Thanks a ton, Matt.

I have the WBH, and just to let you know, I did have to sand the box a bit, you will be able to tell in the pics!!! Thank god you can't see the box underneath the seats but it sounds great!!!!!!!! I will try to take pics today and post later on.....sorry it took so long, I have been at work, 2 doubles in a row!!!!

Here is a link to my pics.....you will see where the box is ''shaved'' that is where I had to sand it down to fit it in!!!!

Hey bluelanch, does the midgate still fold flat? I was going to get the 1 banger 10" box (I have a 2003), but if I can get the 2 banger in there and still use the midgate that would be awsome.

Thanks-Willstoyz
