Ok..so I love my 2008 Avalanche so much that I want to take it back to the UK with me. This leads me to a problem.
I need to convert it to have an amber turn signal. In order to do this I will need to split the stop and turn signals into 2 separate feeds. I have looked at convertors for trailers and the manufactures say this will work but strangely will make the hazard lights inoperable which is no good. I have found other people have done this on other makes by cutting a wire on the steering column and splicing wires in the trunk.
So I know this is a strange request but has anybody converted their truck to a separate turn and stop light or is there anybody who understand the wiring enough to be able to point me in the right direction?
Note. This only need to be done on the rear the front is already amber, although I will need to add a repeater in the fender but this should be straight forward.
