I do have a leaky sunroof that is pissing me off because I can't figure out how to make it stop
There are many posts here on about a leaky sunroof. Do a search on that.
There are several (?) drain tubes that can get blocked and need to be blown or reamed out. I know there is one tube running down the A pillar on the passenger side on my 2013.

Both of the front drains work it's the back that I think don't. And even if I close the roof water pours from it. I was told these are suppose to leak and that the drains help but I keep taking showers and they are cold showers at that!!

there is plastic tray/pan as part of sunroof assy it fits under hole and goes back where sunroof goes inside roof to catch any water.
This water finds its way to those drain tubes and out the truck.
1 in each A & B pillar. so front and rear corners of opening.

IF anyone clogged you could get wet.

only other way is this drip pan has a hole and or crack.
OR the tubes came off the pan.....

You should not get wet.

200,000 was a long time ago for my avy. I bought it at 290,000 miles 2 years ago and I think I'm at 320,000 now. Bought it broken but have since fixed most of the issues. New water pump, alternator, belts, complete steering rebuild minus steering box. same motor and trans no issues. I do have a leaky sunroof that is pissing me off because I can't figure out how to make it stop but other than that no real issues. I do have an airbag repair light on and my cel comes in randomly about something smog related but runs and drives fine.
Make sure it’s not the windshield vs. the sunroof. I too thought I had a leaky sunroof I chased I couldn’t figure out. I taped the top of the windshield at the roofline and that stopped the leak. I still need a permanent fix but at least I know the source.

Oh, and :welcome:

Is there anyone out there who has over 200,000 on their Avalanche? Let us know what issues you have had if any? (Avalanche's are the best built truck out there)
Thanks, Durwin
I have 2007 lt with 320217 miles on it. Just rebuilt the motor and transmission at 316000. I have a ton of issues right now but it is running. A lot of my parts was stolen at the shop it was at so I had to search the world for a new transmission crossmember . Running a 09 intake. Deleted the dod and disabled the afm. Brian tooley 2 stage. No cats. About to put no fouler on down pipe so I can get an actual code reading so I can see why it’s missing. Thinking about just taking the top end off and replace everything. Probably find a ss trailblazer intake, all new injectors, coils , plugs, wires and a K&n

The drip pan i.tbink.sits way back in the opening. I hear it rattling but don't know how it's to stay in place

My 2007 LTZ just passed 234,567 (yes, I took a picture)
The previous owner didn't seem fond of getting work done. When I bought it, I realized after the fact, most of service bulletins hadn't been done, and the local dealerships aren't interested in doing TSB's on a 10+ year old truck.
A new front suspension system, power steering lines, two rack and pinion replacements. Brakes were the first thing to be replaced. All four wheels, total swap out. New tires
I feel seen. My 07 is at 209k. Brakes, suspension, airbag sensors, TPMS and tires (hate seeing the insides on the outside). Next up is oil pan gasket (and o-ring) and replacing the steering rack which has decided to let go recently. 💪

Thanks for the responses. I'm saving up now for front suspension and brake parts. At least now I have a better idea of what might fail and the vehicle.
Anyone else?
Durwin
2010. Ltz 226 000 only problem number 7 cylinder keeps fouling sets off stabilitrac and traction control service code ,changing plug everytime solves problem short term .thing oil rings are done .dont want to replace motor over such issue.

Have your AFM checked.

03 AV original owner passed 325,000 miles in Dec 2022 when it finally blew. Other than reg maint issues had 3 fuel pumps replaced and a instr cluster replaced. New engine has 4300 miles on it. Everyday driver. Rocker panels have developed cancer and its spreading.
I have an 04 avalanche with over 214900 miles on it and she still runs strong rear quarter panel has some cancer not bad and both rear doors inside have cancer almost like the truck was in a flood
