200,000 Mile Club

This club is eluding me.
At this rate, I'll be lucky if I am either be joining the club on my way to Pigeon Forge or on my way back.
It's been 3 months since I clocked 195000. I've barely put a 1000 miles on since then.

2004 Z-71 I've owned for 7 years... 242,000 miles... Only issues have been alternator, water pump, steering wheel clunk, gauge cluster lights and tires... I replaced the steering inter midate shaft and converted the gauge lights to blue led... It still drives and rides like the day I bought it!

Have 234,000. Replaced transmission at 200, power steering pump and water pump at 230.had same problem with ac blowing hot in driver side. Replace ac last week. I know Imspent more than truck is worth but I can't find one I like better. My dogs go with me everywhere 3 big ones made the back seat a bed per plans on forum. Pulls my horse trailer. Just wish it got a little better mileage. I avg about 16.

I've got 214,856 on mine as of today! I got it at about 120. Next major project will be the ABS relay board repair. Thanks to all you glorious people who post info, its helped me very much, and if anybody is in Oklahoma City and heeds a hand, let me know!

So far....

Alternator
AC Compressor and Drier
2 sets of tires
Rotors
2 sets of Brakes
Plugs and Wires
Dimmer Switch
Intake Manifold Gaskets
Shocks
Tow/Haul switch wire

Going to have the transmission serviced soon, and next year I think I'm going to need new some suspension work.

Bought in March 2010 30000 mile, hit 198000 a year and half ago, hit 200000 last week.

My Avy is just over 250,000 miles... Still running strong.. The rear end has had some issues which have been mostly taken care of but other than that the only issues I have had are an Impact sensor, the cluster going out, the mirror display for temp and direction is intermittent, knock sensor, intake manifold gasket and I am sure I am missing some other minor stuff.. I bought it with 185,000 miles on it.

I have also redone the brakes, upgraded to the 900 brakes in the front and also had the transfer case and transmission rebuilt as precautionary measures. (Had the money and thought I had issues with them... Worst case, they won't go bad for a long time now.) I also put different tires on the truck and had the rims powder coated but those were not required either. Just wanted it to look better and I wanted to get new tires while I had the money for it.. (Figured I would have extra cash for a little while so I thought I would make sure the truck would last a while without any major repairs needed.)

I am at 231k miles on it and mines  laying low. Runs great and as soon as I sell my mustang gt I am replacing every bushing.shock and control arms and all rods at the same time and raise it all up.. But she runs good. I have same ac issue everyone has on a 04. Where my ac blows hot when it want . I turn it off n restart n it's good again. A slight oilpan leak and  maybe do the tranny but hey 231k all original..

I am like Redheadedrod, I replace things before they break. I call it preventive maintenance. I know the brakes last about 60-80k depending on your terrain. So when my pads get to a certain point in the rears I change all corners. My 02 goes through rear pads faster than fronts. My rears could be almost metal and my fronts still have 1/4". I don't know why but I do like it. Having that extra rear brake comes in handy for emergency braking situations and towing. My front does not nose dive when I slam the brakes at 80mph. This allows me to have better control of my steering. Now my tranny caught me completely by surprise. At about 198k, I was driving home from my sisters house. This was the return 150 miles home. I got to the intersection of 145&41N. I made a left and accelerated around a motor home , because from that intersection North it is 2 lane mountain road climbing 2500 feet out of the valley. Any ways when I passed she dropped into 3rd like she was supposed to. I got up to 60 and set cruise. The first hill I hit about a mile down the road. My RPM's hit 4000 but my Av was slowing down. I floored it and nothing happened. Luckily they was a turn out. I stopped checked my tranny temp it was only 225, engine was 190. So I put her in park. Then in reverse and she moved just fine. So I put her in drive and nothing. I put her in 1st and she took off fine. 2nd was the same, 3rd and 4th were done. So I decided instead of risking having my Av die in a place I could not get out of the way. I just called a tow. Luckily for me one was on his way to Fresno and picked me up instead. I had a new Jasper installed because they have all the updates GM doesn't. So $3000 and a week later I had a new tranny. The only thing I don't like is the gearing is just a little different. I use to run 2000RPM at 80mph now I am at 2350.

Have you replaced your front hubs? I did last summer and they already got play in them and I haven't really been any sort of off roading or running bigger tires I don't get it?? Of course there about a month and a half out of warrenty.

I last replaced my front hubs in June of 2014 right before a 800 mile trip to Indiana. I have since driven to Ohio and back twice, plus made the  3000 mile round trip to Pigeon Forge, TN this year in addition to regular day to day driving. My current wheel hub bearings are the Timkin brand. I highly recommend them. Before them I was changing wheel bearings every year or so. I bought a set of wheel bearing from Autozone that lasted about 10 months. Got another cheap set off the internet sometime later and they also lasted about the same length of time.

Timkin actually now has an Amazon store where you can get them a lot cheaper than anywhere else and they do offer a warranty through Amazon. I'd recommend getting them.

They sell for $107.97 on Amazon versus $175 and change everywhere else I've looked.

I have a 03 av 1500 and I love it. It has 215k on it. I had purchased it used and had to put some work into it. I use it for work and personal use. I would like to get another one. The best all around truck. I get great gas mileage. Just looking for over the wheel cladding to put on mine so if anyone out there knows where I can get some please let me know.

I'm not sure what is over the fender cladding is.

PS :welcome: to the club

Over the wheel cladding came on the 2500. It is a piece that mounts to the underside of the fender at the top above the tire.
