200,000 Mile Club

2004 Z71 with 214K here. I bought it with 201K, i have only put a valve on the gas tank and i think there is a ball joint starting to go bad. Still has the plastic bushings in the front suspension for the alignment.

Amazing how reliable these vehicles are. Better than a Toyota, lots better than a Mercedes.
Actually, there are plenty of Mercedes driving around with 400 or 500K miles on them. The recent cars are not as reliable, as many of my friends will tell you.

Geez - 200K, sounds like a ton of miles. However, I realized I'm about to pass 50K miles.  My biggest complaint is that the truck is too small.  :p

2003 z71. 207k+ and still going strong! Bought used but no record of anything other than normal service items other than replaced one set of tail gate cables. DITO on the only would get rid of it for another!!! awesome truck. Traded a 91 2wd silverado with 210k. It was starting to show it's age.

Wait - you just bought the truck at 200K+ miles or you just joined?

'02 with 283,000.
Rebuilt transmission this year.
Replaced alternator end of last year.
Minor things previously; serpentine belt, belt tension adjuster, etc.
Other than that, a wonderful truck.
I drive at 75 MPH most of the time on the highway.

Wow 243 k these 2500 never die, congrats on your first post don't be a stranger.

Where are you from DocJ

165K here...mostly highway miles.

I only run Synthetic oil...usually moble one.
Trans, transfer case, diffs have Royal Purple.

Every 50k miles I do a complete fluid flush.  Engine, trans, transfer case, diffs.
I had that "crank position sensor " problem and replaced that

Chevy replaced the gas tank after many problems the first year...it wouldnt fill.

I have replaced one of the Catalytic converters, the brakes, tires, etc...

It does burn one quart of oil between oil changes....but has done that since new.

It seems like I have to replace the serpentine belt every 3 months or so because it squeels.

181,061 miles.
Amsoil 5w30 and an amsoil filter every 3k miles. Tranny serviced with Amsoil synthetic ATF every 30k miles....

Still going....

Is there anyone out there who has over 200,000 on their Avalanche? Let us know what issues you have had if any? (Avalanche's are the best built truck out there)

Your almost ready for the 300,000 Club

A few months ago I bought an 02 2500 with 242,000 on it.  It needed new brakes all around and had a leaky seal in back.  I just put in a new driver's door window motor.  Other than these the only thing I know it had is a new transfer case.  I wish I knew more about it's history.  It drives great though.  I love it so far.  Im up to about 145,000 now.
