200,000 Mile Club

I have run 2 different chevys one 92 wt series truck to 235k and a 95 1500 extended cab to 197k both were daily driven and sold not junked, and really hoping to get the same result out of the 104k avy I will be gettin this week.

I've got 175000 miles on my 03. So far I have replaced my transmission, brakes, water pump, windshield, tires and light bulbs.  My heated seats have gone out for the second time, and I have had to change the driver side window switchs for the second time.  My 6 disk cd player has just went out also.  I hope to put another 100k miles on this truck.  Oh , and I just replaced my Cat converters

Bought my 2006 two years ago with only 9,000 miles - that's right 9,000  not only that, got it for a song - (gas was close to $4/gallon). >:D

She's rounded 40,000 now and ticking like a Swiss watch.  I keep tinkering with stuff, and every mod has produced better results than anticipated.  I plan on keeping her WELL beyond 200,000!

Wow you bought one with 224 K

237K and counting (all mine) yes some issues, just replaced water pump all hoses and radiator put on electric fans. Just started seeing trans fluid hot light yesterday, but thats another post. Only 3rd set of tires (REVO'S)

I'm at 137k on my 04' and the only thing that I have done other than the normal oil changes are the belts, transmission fluid, one windshield. I am looking to leveling it and fixing the rear passenger door because it doesn't want to open or close with the remote. other than that, it has been really great and definitely looking to get over 200k because there are too many things on my list that I want to do.  (y) :drive:

Battery (1)
Windshields (3)
Fuel Pump (1)
Crank Pos. Sensor (1)
U-Joints, Front Drive Shaft (2)
Cat. Converters (2)
Gas....... Lots and Lots of Gas

***UPDATE***
Now have 304500 miles on odometer. Last night pulled 3000# cattle + trailer down the interstate with cruise set on 75MPH. My ole' girl is awesome!

I believe my 02 is around 253,000 right now.  I just got to thinking.....I wonder how many gallons of gas that 8.1 liter has gobbled up over it's life time??

at 117k, won't be much more without a big $ repair - sucks cause I like this truck.  Having to look at gulp, Ford now.

just turned 241K, new tie rods and front wheel bearings, burns a little oil, all original.

Is there anyone out there who has over 200,000 on their Avalanche? Let us know what issues you have had if any? (Avalanche's are the best built truck out there)
Thanks, Durwin

I have about 209,000 miles on my 05' z71 Av. My cooling fans were coming on in the middle of the night and draining the battery. Ended up being the PCM. Dealer Changed that out for me but somehow got somehow getting moisture in the sealed unit. Dealer explained to me that they were having trouble with those particular PCMs. Finally replaced it again.
Crankshaft position sensor relearned after and knock sensor still coming up in the codes. Went through procedure to relearn crankshaft position sensor but knock sensor is still coming up in codes. I am not going to replace the knock sensor right now because it was not on before all of this mess started. Plus it's a $70 sensor and located under the intake manifold. Listed as a 3 hour job. Hopefully the check engine light will go out after the truck gets used to having a new computer in it.

Over 206K now..
few things along the way..  Power steering pump, Alternator, 2 sets of front wheel bearings ( shouldnt have bought the ones on ebay).  Cat Convertors  @ 190K.
All most time to pass it on to the youngling
