Hello everyone, I recently purchased a custom 2002 Avalanche, I have attached a picture, I am trying to find either the original owner or the builder who built the truck, I am trying to restore it and trying to find what modifications were made. It is white with Blue flames and lifted. I was told it was "built for SEMA" but that was about all.  Does anyone now some of the history of my Avalanche?
Thank you
Bob Potter

Yes, that is it, what do you know of the history, am trying to find the builder, and what lift kit was used, also, the differential size and any other modifications that were done. I planb to put a super chip in the truck this winter and am getting the front end repaired. Plus trying to find what else was done and by whom
Thank you so much

I would guess the gears are at least 4.88 if not 5.13 for those size tires (38s/39s?). That thing probably already has some programmer installed just to be able to move itself down the road, no way is the performance stock.

Bob,

I know little to nothing about the truck itself. Other than what the dealer told you about it being built as a SEMA truck.

The same truck was featured in an issue of "Truckin" magazine at one time or another as well.

It is definitely a looker! Congratulations on the purchase!!  (y)

do you know what year and or issue,
Thanks again
Bob
Maybe you could send a picture of your truck to the editors, letting them know you bought and see if they can/would provide you with information.
