After installing new aftermarket Radio head into 2002 Avy, and succefully bypassing the amp…. And getting all four new speakers working… I was finally wiring my backup camera up in the head unit. As I did, one of the RCA connectors crossed over the power wire on the harness and sparked. Ever since then, radio does not power on.
I have replaced all radio fuses under hood and on side panel. I replaced third party 15 amp fuse on new head unit too. Still no power?
I even got a new radio (same kind) just in case I burnt out the old one and still no power. I just see inside the radio unit a red light blinking, so some power is getting in, yet the unit doesn’t power on like it did before.
Someone said it might be a bad RAP (retained accessory power) fuse? So if I replace this much larger black fuse looking box located on left drivers side, Will this solve my problems?
I am pulling my hair out after replacing all the standard radio fuses. What other fuse or issue would have taken place after my wires crossed path and sparked?
Need advice, run out of ideas? I check older threads with similar questions but no answers that solved my issues.
Thanks guys!
