2002 Yellow Avalanche For Sale At A NY Dealer

I don't know. This doesn't look to bad. The price may be a little too high still, but for a yellow, I kind of like it. Isn't the 2003 yellow going to be closer to the yellow that the board smileys :) are? This one looks lighter, like a lemon yellow. (Lemon may be a bad color name for a vehicle, however.) But I kind of like it. I think this color would be really nice with the charcoal 2003 cladding.

But I already have an 02 and am on the other side of the country. If this one was in my local lot, I didn't already have one, and they knocked $3-6k off the price, I might try convincing my wife that we should get the yellow. :)

There was a lot of talk (type) about a few 2002 yeallow av's that were seen by members. I recall that gandolpxx seen one and posted pics on one of his work trips away. I think the deduction they came down to was that it was a factory pre-production model and that employees from the nearby GM plant get to drive those type of vehicles.

Skidd,

You are absolutly right. As a matter of fact, one of the CAFCNA members who works for the "General", had a chance to buy one, and turned it down.

You actually tag a vehicle and a "General" manager or employee drives it up to a certain mileage, then you purchase it from the General at a discount. The company tests and evaluates the vehicle while they have it. Some of those vehicles are really run through the mill.

And show up on Dealers lots as "Executive-driven Program Vehicles". :D

Too high? It's a 4x4.....$32,995 isn't bad at all, my base model sticker price was $32,680 (I didn't get it for that though).

Would be cool to have an '02 "Limited Edition" yellow AV ;)

(y)Looks good to me, but not as much as our black Z66. I still like both yellow and orange about the same however, and if the deal was good enough, yellow would be a top choice. This one's a little weird. First of all, why is it a 2002 AND yellow? Why does it only have 4,266 miles? I wonder if it was one of those executive cars??

$33k is just a little too steep for an '02 with 4.2k miles, even if it is very unique. I keep looking, however, and wondering if they'll offer the same 0% for 5 years on the trucks like they do the SUV's....not that I think we'd get a new one, unless the deal was really good, lowering the current payments. Thing is, with the 2003's, optioning it to the level of our 2002, it's much more expensive (thousands) due to new features, yet some of our favorite things are gone. Love the new steering wheel controls, darker cladding, radio & air controls, and a few other things, but why did they cheapen the seats so much? You have to go full-boat leather just to get a power passenger side now, and the lumbar is also gone on all models lacking cowhide.

Oh, who cares, 13k miles and our '02 Z66 just keeps getting better and better ;D ;D!!

I'VE SEEN A YELLOW '02 DRIVING AROUND THE THUMB AREA OF MICHIGAN. LOOKS REALLY NICE BUT NOT SURE IF I WOULD GET TIRED OF IT BUT I LIKE THE IDEA OF HAVING A "SPECIAL" FACTORY COLOR. :B:
