2004 Avalanche -Booster/ Master Cylinder

I recently was failed at the inspection station for a small leakage from the booster,i brought the car to my mechanic and he changed the booster with a refurbished 52-7370,2 days later all my brakes were smoking,went back to him,he ordered another booster,that one came with a note to take the pin out of the old booster because the new pin was to long,that old core was long gone so he filed the longer pin down about 1/16th and everything is fine,just a reminder to all keep your old parts,the 1st booster was purchased by another mechanic and returned it without the note!
