2004 Paint Code?? Sport Metallic Red

I can't seem to find the paint code for my 2004 WBH which is Sport Metallic Red. I called the GM Help Line, and they looked it up and said it was "63U." Yet, when I search on line for that paint code, it comes up as Tan or Taupe.

Can anyone verify this or give me the correct paint code? Any help is greatly appreciated!!

According to the GM ordering site, the code is 63U, touch up code is WA-817K.

I can see how this can be confusing, I did a search on the web for 63U Paint Code. One site was for S10 Blazers, and in 92, the code 63U was for Taupe. Kind of nice of GM to reuse codes for different items. Keeps us on our toes.

Take it from me, don't trust the 2 digit paint codes that you see. Look in your glove box's for the label that has all your option codes and look for a 3 digit number followed by a letter. That is how we get the paint code's we need to mix the paint for the AV's.

Other GM car's have it in the trunk in a couple of places, and some van's & Camaro's have it in the door opening.
