So after much reading and negotiation on Craigslist... a 14 Bolt FF will be going in the truck.  Picking it up this week.

It is going to be a task but i will be converting it over to a 6 lug.

SWEET I want to do this to my Av also, its just that right now its a 4x2 so I would want to do a Dana 60 and the 14 bolt at the same time with a divorce case though

Right there with you.  Once i get the 14 Bolt build under way i will start researching what i want to do with the front end.  I like IFS but i know it will end up being the weak point in the suspension.

Half the reason I want to do it is to be able to build that stronger more easily to house the dmax I want to swap in and the allison and also strengthen the frame up more to eventually do a twin turbo setup

May take a while, be out of college and all that as I am a junior in highschool but oh well.

I want to have bumpers and light bars everywheres on the roof rack,
twin turbo LMM dmax with built allison trans,
aussie style black smoke stacks out the back,
big CB antennas off the cladding near the tail gate,
14 bolt rear with 10 inches of suspension lift,
front dana 60 with 14 inches of lift,
all suspension lift will be on coils for better ride,
king bypass shocks,
4 linked,
3 inch body lift to clear larger dmax radiator,
full size spare on roof rack,
fuel rims,
46 inch tires or something like that,
take all interior out and spray lizard skin heat and sound insulation,
competition stereo,
sanded and painted interior trim,
new flat black paint job,
K5LA train horn setup,
big winch,
sirens,
pa system,
strobe lights,
etc etc etc and a ton more stuff.

This is a life long project man hahaha

My son turnes 18 the end of July.  He has no interest in anything.  All he does is sit in his room playing online games.  I've tried to get him interested in anything from sports to cars to helping with making home brewed beer...nothing.  He acts like everything is a punishment.  If I lived where I do now when I was his age...I'd be getting lost in these mountains...probably being chased by bears or something.  I realize that times are different as I didn't have the internet back then and only about 2% of households had a computer (and my watch has more computing power than that old TRS80 or Tandy 1000 ever dreamed of having).  It was extremely rare to know anyone else in the neighborhood that had a computer.  Even so, I would be out and about running from the cops for causing mischief.  I never hurt anyone, but I did some dumb stuff.  Even to this very day...although I spend a lot of time on the computer, I spend the majority of my time outside...working on the truck, hiking, taking in nature, dreaming and planning the next adventure...whatever.  I applaud you "teens" on here for getting involved in something more meaningful than just sitting around playing internet games.  I have nothing against playing the games...but there is so much more to life.

I couldnt agree more, I used to kinda be into gaming but I got tired of it. Now I just stay outside 80 percent of the time and the rest is with friends at their houses or watching tv or something but I stay outside as much as I possibly can

i agree with both and i live on 3.5 acres in the rocky mountains in CO i love being outside i have a xbox we bought when i was in middle school because thats what other people did and it was fun now i relize its just a waste of time and i get nothing out of it so even if i dont have money for mods i just pull apart the inetrior and figure out how it works put it back together :) i do alot of cheap mods haha and my time is spent school driving the av or if its not work or hw then its on the av! or outdoors just love the av because it is 100% mine and i control it it makes me happy to crank my country and work on my truck

In the mountains of Virginia...on top of Bent Mountain.  We have Bottom Creek Gorge, The Nature Conservancy, hiking, kayaking, horse trails, snakes, bears, deer, turkey, all sorts of birds and critters.  I'm 5 hours from Gatlinburg and 5 hours from Virginia Beach. 9 hours from Jacksonville, FL.  I'm in the middle of all sorts of outdoor fun.  I have plenty of room to work on the truck in a large 40x30 garage.  I have all the tools to do the mods.  No one to hear you scream if you find yourself in a jam.

If the weather is bad I have a pool table, air hockey and darts, several big-screen TV's and in-home wifi.

I'm on my way!  :drive:

Looks like we were nearby last fall when we did the Blue Ridge Parkway.

road trip only 25 hours from here 1,560 miles maby after school ends in 3 weeks how many acres u got if you don't mind me asking? we got 3.5 here

I have 7 acres, but I'm surrounded by thousands with only a few homes here and there.  Most of the land on top of the mountain is/was owned by one man that bought everything up so no one would build.  He was trying to keep it all in nature.  He died a few years ago at 53 of a heart attack.  He was a great guy and very generous.  I don't know if the family has sold off any of the land, but at the moment anyway, it is still all nature.

I live just off the Blue Ridge Parkway at MP 136.  You can see the Parkway from my deck.  Roanoke,VA is at MP 121, so that puts me 15 miles south of the closest city.  Here's a link to a place I hike just down the street...

Door panel was not to hard to get off.  Anyone doing this in the future make sure you slide the panel to the left or right.  There are 2 tabs above and below the door lock.  Careful not to break these. :E:

All you really need is a 7mm, standard screw driver, and pliers.  With these i had to drill holes and use the metal tabs supplied to mount the speakers.  One trick that helped out with this was bending the metal flat so the tabs sit flush.

The push tabs for the windows and side mirror are all marked so its hard to mess up which slot they go back in when remounting the door panel.

Took a total of an hour to get everything figured out on the first door.  Ran out of light but am guessing each panel/install should take about 30 minutes.
