2005 avalanche under dash vibration

I have a vibration..rattle, under the dash to the left of the steering column it seems. No rattle on smooth roads. I cannot locate it without taking all apart which I probably would not do at this point. By the location of the rattle I would think that I am not the only case!!

Possibly the intermediate steering shaft and or bearing . They are a common problem on our trucks and rattle over every bounce.

SHow picture other way...
see little buttons on side those need to fit into the little "valley" made for them... like it is not moving enough... which means bigger hammer maybe?
