2007...ANYONE MODIFY THEIRS THEMSELVES?

THIS POST KEEPS GETTING BURIED IN THE TOPIC HEADINGS THAT MOSTLY ARE 06 AND OLDER. I HAVE AN O7 ANYONE DO THEIR OWN WORK ON THEIRS LIFT KIT LEVELING KIT? IM NOT INTERESTED IN THE 06 AND OLDER....THEY ARE 2 DIFFERENT ANIMALS BUT MY POST FOR SPECIFIC 07 QUESTIONS GET SHUFFLED TO THE "CORRECT CATERGORY" WHERE IT SEEMS 90% OF THE INFO IS FOR 06 OR OLDER. WHY HAVE A SECTION FOR THE 07 IF YOU DONT KEEP THE INFO SEPARATED BY YEAR? THE SUSPENSION IS DIFFERENT THE PCM AND ELECTRONICS ARE DIFFERENT. THE ENGINE IS DIFFERENT. THE BODY IS DIFFERENT. THE DASH IS DIFFERENT

I haven't personally lifted or dropped mine (yet  ), but I have seen some pics on here of some nice lifted 07's...

Offroad lift section is for all avalanches and has several threads for 2007.
Heck some have pictures of lifted 2007 and leveling info... try reviewing existing threads as you may find some useful info

This section is for 2007 specific mods not related to offroad 4x4 or audio video

Here's an 07 lifted with fabtech 6" and 35" tires.  He noted there was some cutting needed to the plastic in the wells for the 35's.  Not sure how you'll make out with 33 and just leveling.  SOunds like you'll be cutting as well.

anyone own one seems no one has one. everybody has an 06 or older. would like to pick the brain of an 07 owner who has done some work on theirs.....themselves. i have an 07 but 95% of the responses are from 06 or older owners who "think that will work" or "it works for my 05 but im not sure of the 07's.

im sorry but the wat the ygm adm moves posts around its amazing information ever gets out!!!! why move 07 avy specific questions to the general air filter mod catergory its not an 06 its an o7 and the parts are different!!!!!! sorry about the rant but it makes my head spin .

It seems all you  are worried about is post rather then the information.  Please take your time and review the forum.  Information is still the same between "some" components. 

Air filter questions will be in the proper section.  what your commenting on would be like starting a new site based on each model year. AS each model year DOES HAVE CHANGES from the privious.

So...what exactly do you WANT to know?  Tons of people here have '07s, you just have to actually have a question they can answer.

As it is a new model.  Has been only out for a few short months. It is possible that no one has done this themselves. (Atleast here).  Parts, lifts, even exhaust are trickling out to the aftermarket crowd. 

Sugestions:

Call some local shops ask their opinions

Take measurments of what wheels sizes your looking at then compare with your vehicle.

Take the intiative to be the first to do the mod.

Someone somewhere has to be the first.  It may cost them in the long run buy having to change alter or not accomplish what they wanted due to the lack of information.  Jump in with both feet and be the first  Others will or can benefit.  At this rate you may be waiting a long time if you want to know who has done this on their own.  Like I said, its not been long on the market. 

So either patience or trial and error seem to be your options.

all my answers are coming back for 06 or older models.....apples and oranges. just making a point about the 07 heading why separate the 07 from the 06 and older?

We sort by modification...

And for offroad mods we have not made a specific seciton since well the seciton is small enough to easily search with in there by adding the keyword 2007..

I don't know about everyone else, but I have an 07 and find the information I need on a regular basis. Search first, there are several posts about lifting the 07. I have answered tons of questions about my lowering kit, even more about my aftermarket navigation install, and numerous other questions on miscelaneous things I have manipulated from strobe lites to fabricated switch panels. Heck I was just talking with betty in PM's about her leveling kit and tire sizing, I only asked questions because she's posted a bunch about her leveled 07 and some data about the 33" tires she fit on. 

While I'm at it, MUD, I take offense to the scared comment to. No one here is scared, matter of fact it's just the opposite. Numerous people including myself have done things to their vehicles border line as test mules to things that come available. There's a diverse group lurking on this board and you won't find better information anywhere. As you can see by YGMN's niceness in doing searches for you, numerous posts were pulled up regarding the questions you have as well as proving people are not scared to mod this new GMT900 platform. I hope you at least see this if nothing else.

Rant over, we may commence with our regularly scheduled program.
