2007 Avalanche owner! These things are fantastic!

No different than installing a stock headlight. Swap your headlight harness and DRL/blinker bulbs over to the new headlight. Plug in and TEST to make sure all lights are working properly. Then mount the light.

I liked these because they mimick a blacked out stock light with a twist. It has the sideways horse shoe optic/LED bulb line like newer vehicles but without being gaudy ricer and over the top with unnecessary features.

The new low beam lens is like a projector housing and has a little bit of a cutoff line now but uses a halogen H7 bulb with no clearance behind it to add a LED bulb with fan or braided fanless LED bulb. I don't like standard 'yellow-ish' stock bulbs but these do have similar to stock light output.

Not sure how to aim them though.....

Thanks for the update, I got the impression they came with the low beam LED bulb by the way the housing looks. Keep me posted on the Do the tubes light with your DRLs?

The tubes light with the parking lamp, so anytime the fogs are on, or low beams are on. Didn't look to see if they were on with the highs.

Looks great!!! I want to get my Bermuda Blue 07 repainted too so bad...... The previous owner must have lived down a long gravel road and done 60 down it every day.

Mine was living in a gravel city before I bought it too. Beats these truck panels up bad.

Moving forward and loving driving my AV again!

Then, I see a puddle under the truck after parking for about 1hr.... the power steering pump/res has rusted through.  :beating: Son of a b.

Part came in yesterday and based off all the youtube vids and info online, this will be a quick 1hr job..... boy was I wrong  (n).

None of the info online is for 4wd trucks. You may ask, 'what does that matter'? Well, let me tell you.

When you need to loosen the high pressure line off the back of the PS pump, you crawl under the truck and look up to see the fitting and easily reach up with your 5/8" box wrench. BUT, that only works if you have a 2wd, the entire front 4wd drivetrain BLOCKS this fitting and any access to it from under the truck  :E:.

There is no room to get on the fitting from up top with the steering shaft in the way . Fun.

Took me 3 hours. Almost 2 of the hours was just accessing, loosening, and re-attaching the high pressure line on the back of the PS pump. Hopefully I got the nut tight enough to stay tight and not leak.

Blu, I installed the same headlights. When I pulled the originals, a couple horseshoe spacers fell out from each side, and I have no idea from under which fastener they fell. I notice my driver's light was low aimed, so I put a spacer under on of the bottom fasteners, and that corrected a little, but not quite enough. The passenger light seems to be aimed OK.

Several folks complimented the new lamps.

I did use a few washers to get mine close to lining up and it helped not to blind people.

Same reactions here, people LOVE the look of these lights. 100% makes it look like a newer ride than it is.  (y). Take any other 10yr old truck and see how new those look.  :p

Took ol blue to Ledge Park for a hike this weekend. It is pretty.

Headlight cutoff line, not bad. Haven't tried to line them up at all.

Service stabilitrack and traction control lights are flashing now. Gawd damn it, when will the bleeding stop?!?!!?

Ordered a new throttle body today, hopefully that's the issue.

How much of a PIA was the steering pump replacement?, It's really in a precarious position now as I'm at 133kmi on my 08 and have flushed the fluid twice, at 65k and 115k, but used to turn steel 22's, then aluminum 24's and have been on aluminum 26x10.5's for nearly 5 years now and it's starting to whine a little bit, not the whine at full lock, which I always back off of it I hit it, but I noticed it the other day when my wife moved it around in the driveway it was struggling as she was turning on dry pavement while stationary (another thing I try to avoid). Thinking it might be time for a replacement. Or at least look into what's involved in replacing it.

If yours is 2wd, no problem. There are some youtube vids on replacing them on a 5.3L.

If it is 4wd, forget about reaching the 5/8" fitting for the high pressure line on the bottom/rear of the pump/tank assembly.

The 4wd system for the front is directly below where the youtube videos show you to reach up to loosen the fitting. If you have 4wd you can only work from the top of the truck. Your best bet is to get a 5/8 open box wrench that you can put a 30* bend into 1/2 way along the wrench length. OR if you are feeling froggy, unhook the steering linkage for the steering wheel to get it out of the way of the swing of the wrench from up top.

That's exactly my concern and what I was trying to avoid

Cleared the code for the traction/stabilitrac light. Was off for about 1/2hr. Cleared it again. Off for about 45 minutes. Cleared it again, good since sunday....  :E:

Hopefully an oil change and new throttle body clear this up for good.

Finally installed my new brake switch so I could pull my stock one out and install that in the black AV beater.

Codes have been off for about 10 days and popped back up today.

I went in for an oil change, maybe the oil is just done. It was over by 5 months but not mileage.

P0011 Intake Camshaft position sensor seems to be the code that is setting off the stabilitrack/traction control.

I sold the black avalanche to get some more fluid cash in the bank because we are looking at buying a new house. Made enough profit to put in the bank and still had plenty left to buy a 2003 Ford Escape for $1k to tool around in winter with.

For now the AV and my car sit for winter  :B:.

Back out for the summer and of course something is f'd up!

Drivers front caliper is sticking and heating up the brakes. Great, happy new year!  :beating:

GM and their calipers... We've had issues out of the back left on the '13 since we bought it... It has been replaced twice

That's one of the downsides to letting cars sit for a period of time.  It may not seem long, but it's long enough for moisture to do it's thing and cause things to sieze.

those brakes have been a pain for you since day 1  :beating:

I'm getting a racket sound with a some clanking in that corner too now. It almost feels wheel bearing related too. The truck kind of wanders a bit more than usual. I will have to get it up in the air and see wtf is going on. Not something I want to be dealing with while we are in the middle of packing up the house to move.  :E:
