2008 Avalanche srs codes

Hello, I have a 2008 4wd 1500 5.3 avalanche. Its got the following three air bag codes:
b0083-3a
b0084-39
b0084-3a

All three codes pertain to both front impact sensors. I went ahead and replaced them both with no luck. I am assuming it could be a bad wire somewhere. Was wondering if anyone could give me some advice.
 
How long have you had the AV, it looks like it may have had some front end damaged.

Here is the short version

DTC B0083 39: Electronic Front End Sensor 1 Internal Electronic Failure (Left)
DTC B0083 3A: Electronic Front End Sensor 1 Incorrect Component Installed (Left)
DTC B0084 3A: Electronic Front End Sensor 2 Incorrect Component Installed (Right)

There 2 designs for the 07-08 AV front end sensor depending on what date it is built before 08/07/2007 first design after second design and they are not interchangeable or you get those codes.
 
Oh ok. I will try to look now and see if I can find the manufactured date. So how would I go about getting the right sensors?
 
If you have the original sensor you could tell by the part number


Try a google search tsb #08-09-41-008
 
I dont have the original sensors. I was able to narrow down 3 different dorman options. I have tried 2 and they both didnt work but changed the srs codes so I know its incompatible sensors. Tomorrow I will grab 2 of the 3rd option. Fingers crossed.
 
Cool let us know,  there has to be a difference but what it is I don't know
 
OK! Finally figured it out. My Avalanche was built 1/08. It ended up being dorman part#590-224. This replaces the original gm sensor stamped 25896408. What a pain it was to figure this out. I went on a bunch of GM parts sites even and typed in my vin and it said that part# was incompatible! Just ended up trying all 3 different sensors that dorman makes for the 2008 model. Thanks for all the help guys.  :love:
 
Sometimes, lobbing a parts grenade is all you can do.

It worked for my 2009 avalanche aswell. Bought it from autoplicity for $69 either 590-224 for 2008 or 590-222 for 2009 both worked for my avalanche
