Hey Guys, I searched the forums for an answer but didn't really see it..only saw "solutions", but my question is do I REALLY need to have my Autoride fixed? I found out it was bad because my battery kept dying...mechanic said module bracket broke, the module was flopping around and finally died. However, something was left on/open/powered (I cant remember what he said) which caused a constant draw of power from the battery. He pulled the module and the draw dropped from 1amp to .4amp so we are hoping the battery issue is solved.
My 2010 LTZ has 150+ miles. It runs great, but the body is rusting and banged up and I expect more issues soon. Not sure if necessary to spend around $1100 (600+ for parts plus labor). Will leaving it as is cause any issues downstream like the shocks will self combust and burst into flames or my tires will wear out in 5 days If all I am missing is some leveling and ride control, I don't really care. I don't haul anything really heavy that often. Again, just worried about downstream effects if it's not functional.
