Hi all!

I recently got my Avalanche and since I got it, the drivers side power seat is not working. Nothing moves at all when I toggle the switch. I checked the fuse and it looks fine. I tried removing the circuit breaker and replacing it and that didn't help.

Is there anything else obvious I should check? I ordered a new 6 way switch online so I will swap that out when I get it.

Well check if you get power at switch.
Check if you get power at motors under seat when moving switch.
Check wiring.

I use voltmeters but I guess a test light may work

If you figure it out, let me know. Mine stopped working a few years back. Fortunately, the seat was far enough back where I need it.

IF you are not sure what you are doing please be careful as you can harm the truck computers and hurt yourself.

MAybe look for some you tube videos or find a neighbor who knows how and can show you.
But most meters have leads with point that can reach into the connector to make contact.

Yeah, I'll see if the contact will fit into the connector. I installed a new switch today and unfortunately that didn't fix the issue :(

I had not touched my seat switch in quite a while, but decided to try it today. One side of the seat will start to slide forward but not the other. I stopped it because, I didn't want to twist the track. That is what mine is doing.

I would presume in that particular case it would be a mechanical issue with the assembly. Looking at the powered seat assembly, both sides are powered by a single motor that sits between two gearboxes. Each gearbox powers a lead screw on each side that the seat is connected to and moves along the rail.

From the looks of things, it's the first motor closest to your footwell if there are multiple. you probably can poke your head under with a flashlight and see if they're moving.
