The 3 black panels still look perfect but I want to protect they from fading anyone have any ideas? I don't want to put spray protection on it every time I was it, I was looking for something more permeant.

I think if you want permeant, you're going to be looking for something like CERAKOTE (Link)

@EXT4ME has applied it to both of their vehicles and it's looking great. It stands up much better than polishes and dressings. Its semi-permenant you may have to reapply it down the road, but it should last year's on a low abuse area like the bed covers. Just try not to coat the seal edges. I'm not sure if it affects their sealing abilities.

Nothing is permanent... even rocks erode away by mother nature...

Look this stuff is plastic and if you park outside well.. nothing lasts "long"
Wrap them if you want longevity

Paint lasts long time before it peals off.

Since being a member from 2014 I'm sure you must have read the many threads over the years avlanche1 on faded cladding and bed panels.
Three of the longest lasting and popular things to use is Refinish Restorer, Cerakote and paint, all of them need proper preparation instructions followed for best results and longer lasting effect.

I know you said you want a permanent fix, but I have never heard of one. My 03 has cladding and every 6 me that I spray it with McGuires tire shine. It last at least 6 months. Good luck

Does Cerakote come in a spray?

Does Cerakote come in a spray?
Im sure there are some similar products that do, but most true ceramic coatings come in droplet bottles because you need to apply a small amount and work it into an area before it begins to cure. While i know there are some ceramic infused sprays, i don't think they have nearly the durability of the full strength stuff.

The wipes by comparison cut out some of the headache by individually packaging applications. A ceramic coating for your car for example would have you working with a 2x4" sponge with a microfiber towel wrapped around it and working it in 1'x1' areas as you go, dribbling a couple drops onto the applicator as it runs dry until it covers the car.

And i was wondering why cerakote seemed familiar.. they make durable spray coatings for firearms..

Not that I know of.

The CERAKOTE product comes in a package that contains 10 individual packages that each contain a product soaked applicator wipe and a couple pairs of gloves to wear while applying the product.

Think of a moist towelette you get at the table of your favorite BBQ rib restaurant.

The way this stuff coats as it is applied, I think the more precise application method of using an applicator towelette is far better than using a spray applicator.

I would not want to get any overspray anywhere, that's for sure.
