2013 Nationals Charity Beneficiary

We are pleased to announce that our charity beneficiary for this year?s Nationals is the New Beginnings Food Pantry , Amherst, NY​

All proceeds from the silent auction, raffle, and food drive will go directly toward purchasing food for the food bank.
​

I will be accepting donations to my Paypal account.  Please make the comment "for charity" so I can keep it separate from the t-shirt sales.​

I would like to start a food drive along the route I'm driving. (more details to come) New Beginnings Food Pantry accept any non-perishable food items or laundry detergent.​

Their Vision/Mission/Goal:
At New Beginnings we distribute food to be cooked at home to our hungry neighbors who are in need.  We are a member agency of the Food Bank of WNY.  We rely on our church family for donations and volunteers.  New Beginnings exists to express the love of the Lord Jesus Christ to those from the community in need.​

Hours of operation:
We distribute food Tuesdays from 6:00-8:00pm, Fridays from 9:00 to noon, and the third Saturday of each month from 10:00-11:30.​

We love and support one another in the service of our community and any checks should be made out to "Amherst Baptist Church"  memo should be "New Beginnings Food Pantry"​

Time to clean the cupboards out, bring your non-perishable goodies with ya, or what the heck, stop by the store and spend a  couple of bucks for the needy, it may not make a difference to us, but trust me, to some its a matter of eating one day or not!  Lets see if we can make a difference in someones life, even if its just for a short time.

I spoke with a rep from The New Beginning and she said they are in grave need of support and we have come at a critical time to help out.

I am truly amazed by your clubs amazingly generous donation!  You will receive a more appropriate thank you letter, but I wanted to let you know right away that with your donation we were able to buy back to school supplies and book bags for ALL of the school aged children we serve.  (And we still have some left over) We've never been able to do that before.  The parents and kids are so excited to receive a backpack full of supplies.  Thank you so much for giving us this opportunity to make so many people smile.
Thank you for all the time and effort you put into this project.  Its amazing to watch the  joy in the faces of so many children and parents.
May God fill your heart with images of that joy so you can share it too.

OK, that's the second time Carol managed to get me a little choked up!!  
The first time she got me was at the presentation, when she became overwhelmed by our donation.
What a sweet lady, and a wonderful Charity.
