ACCOMODATIONS

In searching accommodations I realized this area is very pricey regardless of where you decide to rest your bag o? bones for the night.

The Sleep Inn Hotel and nearby KOA Campground are offering discounts for our CAFCNA group.

Both options will be made available.  As some people with children may find it cheaper and easier to do camping, while older and not so outdoorsy people may prefer the hotel.

The hotel is 10 miles (15 minutes) away from the campground.
Niagara Falls State Park (Closest point to The Falls) is only another 7 miles (10 minutes) down the road.

Niagara Falls is unforgettable, and this KOA is only 7 miles away.
With 65 foot pull-throughs and 50-amp patio sites available, our campground is truly big rig friendly . No RV? Not a problem! Enjoy a comfortable stay in one of our cozy one room Cabins (don't forget to bring your linens). For those of you who like the comforts of home, try our fully furnished Deluxe Cabins with a full kitchen, bathroom, air conditioning, and heat too. This is your home away from home, as we also provide the cookware. Prefer more rustic accommodations? Try a grassy tent site. Also, enjoy Free Wi-Fi located throughout the campground. At KOA, enjoy the two catch-and-release fishing ponds, paddle boat and banana bike rentals, game room, playground, jumping pillow and swimming pools. With an advance purchased ticket, enjoy a train ride from KOA to Martin's Fantasy Island amusement park.
There is a $5 per site ($10 per cabin, $20 per deluxe cabin), per pet per stay fee, not included in the deposit amount.

Hmmmm...   $300 for a weekend GTG (plus gas, tolls, and attractions...)

This may actually be doable!

I had to work very hard to get a decent rate for a NICE hotel anywhere near the Falls. (Luckily, I work at a Choice Hotels property, so I had a little leverage)
This property is newly renovated, offers a deluxe breakfast, is close to the Falls and major airports and also close to Grand Island where most of the activities and events will be taking place. (Other than those located directly at the Falls)  Unfortunately they are not pet friendly.

I am still trying to negotiate a better rate / discount @ the KOA. (Will update shortly)

DON'T FORGET TO BOOK YOUR ROOM(S) AT THE HOTEL

The block of 30 rooms is being held for us until April 1st, after that rooms are open to the public and available on a first come first served basis.

You're best bet is to make your reservation NOW and if you can't make it... you can cancel up to 4pm on the date of arrival.

If you are thinking of going, book now!! after April 1st the $99 rate is not guaranteed!!

(I checked online today and the best rate is at $119. Theses rates will only increase as you get closer to the date and the rooms get booked up.)

Question, I tried booking my room on the hotels website, and when I put in "CAFCNA" for the promo/discount code, it said invalid code. Whats the deal?
