Are you talking leftovers from previous mods? Or used parts? Im open to any ideas if you've got one.  (y)

You don't want me to bring spare parts I have.

I'm getting a Split midgate mod from HiYoSilver I was going to bring down there if the money was going to charity.

I saw that midgate, Byron! That would be a great item for a silent auction. Feel free to bring it and we will make it happen!

You're the best!  (y)

I thought so, the price was right. Now to figure out how to get down there

Anybody familiar with the remote tailgate lock?

Humm I think someone has one. >:D

Since Radio Shack has been going out of business, Ive been hitting up all the stores within a few hours of my house. I must have a dozen or so 6A diodes and probably 3 packs of 3A diodes for some All 4 On Hi mods and some Full Time DRL's should anyone want to participate... 80% off.. Ya just can't beat it!

Except you don't want to use those diodes for the All 4 On HI mod.. Work great for the 4 light Brake/Turns though...

You want the really small diodes... If you use the 3A or 6A diodes I assure you that you WILL deform the sockets for the relays and will have issues down the road and it is WAY over kill...

Even if you do the mod BCM SAFE and wire relays in parallel with the top relays by using the wires under the fuse box those diodes should be small too. Whatever relays you are using the diodes with you are using them on the coil side which only use a very small amount of power so you need really small diodes...

(And I have been finishing up other projects so I haven't had time to work on the truck past couple weeks. I will be doing a BCM SAFE version of the all 4 on high and FTDL on my '03 and will be taking pictures to document.)

Well, I've still got them nonetheless... lol

Ive only ever seen it done with diodes with no ill effects in the many years I've ben cursing cruising the boards. Ill have to see this new method though! It could be revolutionary!

I have to do another order for LEDs does anyone want to do Sail Panel Lights. Placing the order this weekend.

I would like to do sail panel lights..

I have some of the very small diodes as well I will probably bring some of those to do the all on high mod.
I may wrap them in clear heat shrink to protect them while being able to see the line to install them correctly.

If we make it, I have a few things I'd like to do.

  • I'd like to replace the sockets in my DRL's.  It seems a couple time a day I need to twist a DRL to get it to go back on
  • I'd like to do the trailer plug mod, moving it next to the license plate.  I damaged mine a few weeks ago and would like to move it out of harms way.
  • I have sail panel lights that work as tail light, turn signal and brake light, though the brake light overrides the turn signal.  I'd like to make it so the brake doesn't override the turn signal.  I actually have a very cool idea for the sail panel lights but I have no idea whatsoever how to make it work.  I'm not going to mess with this one if the Snugtop is still on.  If it's still on and I haven't done so by Nationals, I need to wire up the Cyclops brake light and internal light.

I already have my sail panel lights installed, but have some extra diodes and resistors if anyone  needs them.  I won't be there until Saturday, so I guess it depends on when people are doing the modding.

There is always time for modding  >:D

Hey B, you mentioned in my Snugtop thread about flight ng it up at nationals.  Can you give me a parts list of what I should bring if we can come?  Thanks.

Did not I say let me light that sucker up, depending on want type of interior lights you want.

I would suggest 2 led light strips, you buy the strip lighting strips and add 30 bucks.

PS I  sent you a PM

(y) Let's do the LED strips.  Thanks.

I'd love to do some LED strips in the bed of mine. I haven't went in to see about pulling out the inside panels. Ive got a 100ft loom of 16 gauge wire and all the connecters, strippers, etc.. Just need to buy the strips..

Anyone seasoned with the install?? I'd also love to add the switch in the bed to make it all work, they time out too quick with the approach and interior lighting..

I'm looking into that for frito dreamer I'm trying to find a set that are not crap from you know where. Most  that I have found so far are not very bright

I was thinking about ordering a set from www.customzled.com diesel power advertises them a lot. They seem pretty bright and really reasonably priced.
