"Avalanches in the Smokies" Schedule of Events

This is the beginning schedule of events for the entire GTG. Events could change based on intrest, etc, and the list will update almost daily as times are set and events are added/removed based on interest. As always, you can choose to take part in as many or as few events that you would like. The planning team would like everyone to have a good time  (y) no matter what! Afternoon/Early Evening - Arrivals and Check-In, Welcome Bags

Meet and Greet

Getting to Know Pigeon Forge

Friday, July 24th

Breakfast at your leisure

9:00am Departure- 10:00AM Departure  Gatlinburg Trip

Lunch at your leisure or on the Cruise

Continued Check-In

3:00PM Departure - "Avalanches Cruise the Smokies" Scenic Cruise

Evening - Dinner & Fun on the Strip (Go-Carts, Mini-Golf, Etc)


                                                                                                                                                                             


Saturday, July 25th

Breakfast at your leisure

9:00am - Show and Shine (Hotel Green Area fronting strip)

11:30am - Rock Paper Scissors Tournament (Show & Shine Area)

12:00pm - Line up for Parade of Avalanches down Pigeon Forge Strip (Parking Lot at Mamas Farmhouse Behind Hotel)

12:30pm - Lunch at your leisure: Be mindful of an early Dinner

Afternoon - modding/Free Time Use this time to visit the Indoor Skydiving Park, Go Shopping, Visit the Island, etc

4:30pm- Group Dinner - Mama's Farmhouse Restaurant 208 Pickel St, Pigeon Forge, TN 37863

Awards for Show and Shine During Dinner

7:00 Charity Raffle (or directly after dinner) (Hotel Grounds)

Possible Charity Poker Event (We need a volunteer to coordinate this)

Any kind you'd like. There have been all types of mods done over the years at various GTG's. From simple things like installing Ambers, to Installing an entire set of train horns.

The "modding" time may be adjusted depending on who wants what done and what needs done. This is just a loose schedule that will be tightened as the GTG draws closer.
 
Ok, planning on staying in Georgia at my GF's mothers house Saturday night so probably won't make it back out for Sunday unless something major is going on.

Sounds like fun otherwise.

As of right now its just breakfast and last minute modding if need be and goodbyes  :rolleyes:

Won't get there until Saturday morning...want to make the Show and Shine, but if not...DEFINITELY want to make the parade!

Me too, me too!!! But that just means I will have to run up and down the steps at least 428 times a day  :p
 
I can't wait to meet everyone.  I'm looking for some modding help on installing the Rear sail fastener LED's.  I have all the supplies, just not the talent to make/run the harnesses. 

I'll be coming in Thurs evening, and staying till Sunday at the Official hotel there - reservations made some time ago. 

Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Sounds good, Jack! Looking forward to meeting you as well!  (y) Im sure there will be folks there that can help you get your Sail Panel LED's up and running. :)
 
Two questions...

Where will we be meeting up on Thursday? I have your number so should I just call/text when we get close? We are likely showing up early on Thursday, check into our hotel and check out the area.

Picking up a radio probably today for use while we are out there. Did you say we will be on channel 7 at least to start out with?

All depends on the coordinator or region.
Region II back in the old days used 3 but it's been at least 6 years since I used mine.
But for this gtg I believe it was posted that it would be channel 8.
