I am so glad to see that the pressure that fan clubs like this one has put on Chevrolet to reintroduce the Avalanche. Great job everyone!

NO press media from GM nor Chevy....

So doubt this is true?

Also if coming out in 2022 they would have told the world since New models tend to roll out in Sept.

I was thinking somebody tricked out their Avy and posted a pic here. LOL

Yes same old rumors since 2012 when we learned that 2013 was going to be the last year of production...just wishful thinking and beating a dead horse.....

The hummer is just about the closest thing we're going to see until someone convinces them that the midgate isn't "cost prohibitive" on a $100,000 truck. lol.

I've seen a good number of them driving around on the roads surrounding the Milford proving grounds. They look great, not for the price of 1.5-2 c8's. It would need a midgate for me to even consider it at 70k.

At this point, Id sooner trick out my 2500. the $70k+ in savings can buy 240,000 miles worth of gas for it xD

I ask - what would you do if Chevy did come out with a NEW AVY like the old one in that it is based on latest BURB?

Would you run out to buy or wait a bit? keep your original and buy new?

ah to dreammmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

My harsh reality is I have probably bought my last "new" vehicle.

Even if they did come out with a new Avalanche, since I only buy well used any more, it would be a good 8-10 years down the road before I was able to get a used one.

I'm not sure another one of these types of trucks will be in the cards for me that far down the road.

Y'all enjoy all of those new trucks.

And like Roy Clark once said, "If they was selling riverboats today for a nickel apiece, all I could do would be run up and down the bank hollering 'Ain't that cheap!!' "

:)

I'd keep my '07, at least for 4 or more years, especially since I've sunk $3k into it ($2100 for a transmission rebuild, w/upgrade to 3/4 ton parts, plus bigger oil cooler and a pan w/drain plug, plus new brake pads and rotors on all 4). Then, if the new ones have a fully-autonomous mode for interstate highways, reliability has been good, they look as good as mine & not downsized, I'd consider it for $50k or less, used. Pretty tall order, eh?

I'll ask my nephew if he's heard anything about a 2022 Av; he's sales mgr at a Chevy dealership, but last year he said NO way.

Just curious, where did you hear about this. There have been countless sites that claim a new Avy is coming. These sites generally tend to be nothing more than clickbait.

It's the same like you said (click bait) they been running every year. If you search for 2020, 2021 or 2022 Chevrolet Avalanche you'll get the same recycled stories and price only this one says it will have an independent rear suspension.. Starting at $31,000, yea right, I'll take two.. That's what they were starting at when I bought mine 20 years ago..

I was sent a photo of 2022 Avalanche that looked like a it could be a coming soon thing........maybe Chevy is testing the market. Has anyone else heard the rumor?

More than likley someones attempt at getting clicks... POst pic so others will know what you saw as I have seen many different PHOTOSHOPPED versions of a burb to make me hate burbs....

If chevy had a 2022 they would have announced it in 2020 or early 2021 and deliver it by now and have stuff on their website etc.
but GM has nothing and says nothing...

The avy is dead - I cannot see them bringing it back in this gens full or midsize trucks/SUVs.

I've dedicated the proceeds from my "Cuss Jar" toward the purchase of the next new Avalanche.

At this rate, I will be able to buy a fully loaded model outright when the time comes.

:) (y)

The Avalanche was produced by the old GM. I really do not think that the post-bankruptcy GM is really all that innovative and pinches pennies even more than the previous company did. The Avalanche was an expensive vehicle to produce because of the mid-gate.

As much as I still love my Avalanche, it's my belief that there isn't as much interest from GM in producing another SUV such as ours.

If you look at some of the older threads you can see that the rumor of a third generation AV has been on this website since at least 2012 and comes up every couple of months when some hopeful and optimistic member wants to believe in the revival of the AV. Most of the rumors come from "clickbait" websites or some eager salesperson at a dealership trying to lure a customer in to the showroom to sell them some other vehicle like the "High Desert Silverado" etc.
As much as we would love a new AV almost everyone here believes it is beating a dead horse idea.

my wife was so excited - she swears she saw a new Avalanche and then found this - https://pickuptrucknews.com/2023-chevy-avalanche/

and yeah - no other report anywhere else so - take it for what it is worth
I wonder how much info is getting confused over this link compared to official info from GM over the EV Silverado which is discussed in other threads? The upper trim models of it have a midgate like the AV.

Was getting some new tires mounted last week and the shop manager said that the Avalanche was coming back as an EV. 🤷‍♂️
read this:

EV Silverado coming out has midgate

read this:

That is probably what will make sure the Avalanche doesn't come back, unfortunately.
