Just got call from the dealer telling me it's time for this. Anyone now what they do for this service and if it's necessary. Rough cost as well.

You want to be careful if the dealer called and told you it was time to get this! I had a Buick Park Av in 1995 and they called me, when I took it in they changed the Trans fluid and just a couple other little items and said they did a 21 point check. Guess what, it is stuff they look at all the time anyway. They charged me $189 for a trans fluid change!! Your owners manual will tell you what they recommend at 24K.

Hmm.. I get those notes too... I just turned 22500, and I did the following...

Tire Rotation (again)
Oil & Filter
Greased all 11 grease fittings (finally found that last one!!)
Cabin Air Filter (EEEWWWWW :D: )
Fuel Filter (not tooooo bad, but still was needed)

Was going to do Main air filter, but dang, the thing looked like BRAND NEW, not a speck of dirt!

All that other stuff they send out is an attempt to make excessive $$$ ... I will hold my thoughts on this >:D

Isn't it Time for The Rear Diff service ( locker/posi units only ) ? ???

Dont Forget the Flinker Fluid Service ;D

This is like the reminders (in addition to the windshield sticker) that I get from my (excellent) service department for 3k mile oil changes for my sophisticated vehicle with the fancy oil life monitor. As far as that and other scheduled maintenance are concerned, I'm going to do what my owner's manual recommends, not what my service department tries to sell me, unless they are one and the same.

The only thing I did outside of normal maint at 30K was has an oil system flush and changed my fuel filter and in cabin air filter.
