2500 Production Numbers

I found my 05 back about 4 years ago, and it had 115k miles on it. I'm now pushing 147k and still love it! It is one of the Indigo Blue with 4.10s, and it came with the factory power "accordion" camper mirrors, although the previous owner changed them out for aftermarket camper mirrors. The cladding was painted the factory color when it was newer so the colors match perfectly, and I swapped on a set of factory chrome H2 rims for attitude. I've only seen one other big block Avi on the road since I bought mine, so I know they are getting even more rare

I'm at the Chevrolet dealer here in Elk Grove in order to get the upper and lower control arms replaced with Moog parts. I haven't visited this dealer in a few years. It sort of sad, hardly any new car or truck inventory on the lot. Most of what they have is used.

The waiting room for repair work is full so I'm sitting at one of the tables in the showroom. Plenty of space.

With the chip shortages not many are being made.

Just saw this post. I’m the original owner of a 2004 Avalanche 2500 that’s DGM with Charcoal Leather. It’s a time capsule with 9,200 miles on her and still smells new. What do you guys think it’s worth? Been thinking of holding out longer to sell as new truck prices have skyrocketed to $80k +

I would check sites like www.kbb.com or www.edmunds.com as well as online auto sales sites like autotrader etc. for prices in your area. Anything else would be a wild guess on our part for you. Once computer chips come back into the supply chain I bet prices of used vehicles will fall once car lots get new vehicles again.

The power shift to EV’s is extremely close so used ICE vehicle prices should be strong for years to come as people not wanting to gravitate towards EV’s look to keep themselves in cost efficient capable vehicles. KBB and Edmonds don’t take into account the “Unicorn” status of a vehicle.

Hey it's always supply and demand and a person can ask whatever they want for their vehicle, question is they have to find the right buyer that appreciates that vehicle and are willing to pay the price for it. If the buyer has cash that may be different from someone who needs a loan to buy a vehicle then the lender may go by the book value.
I agree there is a market for older more simpler vehicles but I bet the average buyer now wants all the bells and whistles of a new vehicle and buy into the hype of helping the environment with an all electric vehicle.
I also think you have a great AV and any buyer should be thrilled to own it. Problem is only time will tell if the AV will go down in automotive history as a Corvette or Mustang or will it just be an interesting footnote such as a Pacer or Edsel? You may find mechanical parts for some time but just try and find body panels and other parts that are AV specific now........

Does anybody know how many 2500 Avalanches were made, and what years? I have searched the web all I can seem to find is total sales. The guy at the tire shop said he has never seen one, mine was the first he has seen.
There were 1,637 2500 Avalanches built in 2004, I have one with 313,000+ miles on her and she still looks and runs like new.

Old post.. Asked and answered 8 years ago.. If you read from the beginning it shows most of the 2500 production number that are known..
