I will soon be entering....Any tips from experienced?    how about that rear hardware kit???I'm definitely concerned about bump stop area??!Djm shows a scalping" of bumpstop structure...I only have a grinder...Thanks

get the kit.  its needed for a 5'' drop.  also, get the bumpstops made for lowered.  there is a lot of good info on the DJM site.  I just left this 'nation' but was there for a while.

when you get an alignment, spring for one with a year of realignments just in case you need it.  the cost isn't that much more.

feel free to ask questions if you have any.

drop spindles, drop shocks and sway bar relocation kit are still installed for now.  springs are posted for sale somewhere in here.  stock springs, front sway bar, spindles, t-bars and keys are in storage somewhere.

Hey..grnxnam....Did you just replace bumpstops or did you have to cut around frame??Any problems???

I just cut off about 75% of the bump stop.  if you need more clearance, cut off the whole bracket on the rear bumpstops.

install info:  http://www.lowridermagazine.com/tech/0303lrm_lower_avalanche/

rear bump stop bracket removal info:  http://www.stylinconcepts.com/Articles/suspension-djm-avalanche-tahoe/Article.aspx  it'll sit 'about' like this when you're finished...maybe a lil higher in the front:

finally got around to installing djm lower control arms...took longer than it should...I'm 3/5 scared..worried about ride and always wanting to improve it also...I'm still using the 2.8 eibachs in the rear and plan to shift rear sway bar and relocate control links...because I've heard noises before..I can later drop in djm 5" springs later .Worse part...I could not unloosen tierods ends and have  to tow to shop for alignment
