Hey all, I had some extra money lying around and I'm looking into some new rims and tires. I think my truck looks too low right now so I planned on lifting it 3.5 inches with the Rough Country kit. Everything on their site says it keeps factory rides and has a lifetime warranty. It also has great reviews, but I've been reading some bad reviews on Reddit where people said they had to do a ton of un-nessicary fabrication, and a garbage ride. Has anyone tried this kit? If so what's the ride like? Are the cv angles bad? (I also plan on replacing my ball joints and a few other things up front so they wont wear out fast)

Have you looked at the procedures for installing the lift? Most companies have the procedures on their website.

You should then be able to judge for yourself.

Do you have any 4X4 or off road shops in your area to go and visit for info on which kit and how much labor time is needed as well as customer satisfaction? Things can vary if you have LTZ suspension or stock suspension too.
Then also consider lifting an AV puts it more in the air-stream and may hurt your gas mileage in addition to more rolling resistance with larger/wider tires affecting gas mileage as well. Also if you go too much bigger on rims and tires you may have to upgrade your brakes.

I live 2 hours away from custom offsets. I think the kit will be easy because I have the LS model (less sh*t) and it has basic shots and not autolevel/air shocks. I just wanted to know if anyone tried it out.
