Last week I took a 3K mile road trip from Boston, MA to Valdosta, GA (non stop) then from Valdosta, GA to Louisville, KY (saying hey to the folks) and eventually back to Boston.

Going there (1227 miles) it took me just around 20 hrs (nonstop) only me in the AV without anything in the back cargo area. I took my time driving and averaged around 60 mph (factoring slowdowns for gas and rest stops) .  When I arrived Valdosta I checked and saw I made about 21.8 mpg.  :D Note: for some reason my pix did not save

So on the way back I had my son, a full cargo area, two dogs and towing a 2800lbs S2000 crammed with more stuff. :p  Son had coil-overs and I had to improvise, nothing like a 2"x4" to give you the extra lift you need

Here's the results from my 3k mile trip
Average mpg dropped to 15.6
192.9 gallons
51:43 hrs driving

Too far in one day for me... I dunno.....
I have done 900 in 11 hours in my car... and well ya get sore after that.... and wanna sleep.

Dogs on the way back?
Poddy breaks huh....

Road trips are fun though and memory makers.

yeah, the trip down I stopped a total of 3 times.  On the way back to Boston, I think I stopped every two hours.  it was my thirsty beast that needed the stops and not the puppies lol

...still, fun trip for the most part (y)
