Just wanted to let you know I won't be able to leave for Laughlin until later in the day. I have a 2nd interview in the morning so I'll have to leave after I finish B.S.ing the potential employer about my skills. It's over on Glendale and El Mirage Rd.

I'll plan to drop by. I need to unload the trailer and drop it off in Seligman, then return to get it.. Don't know yet fer sure...

I'll have to review the agenda if I'm to meet anyone..

Looking forward to seeing all of you tomorrow!!
Drive Safe - Get there fast!

LET'S ROLL AVALANCHES!!

Nick

Todd - what time do you expect to arrive in Lauglin? Just curious.

We plan to leave Vista about noon so I guess we will arrive around 6.

Larry

Looks like my getting to Laughlin tomorrow will be pushed back even further. My interview has been postponed till 12:30PM and I might be minus the AV. I took it in for some last minute warranty work and Chevy has to put a new ring & pinion in it. Had only 30 miles till the warranty ran out. So if I don't get it back tomorrow I'll be in a Pick-up truck.

The Arizona group SHOULD be in Laughlin between 1&2pm Arizona time.

That will be between 12 & 1 pm Nevada time.

See you there!

Super charger I'd really like to talk to you at the get together. I just had my ring and pinion changed under waranty and I'm not buying there reasoning for it failling. I'll be in a 04 Z-71 with a 6 inch lift.

Will be happy to talk to you John. I hope to find out why it failed. My dealer is pretty good and for the most part doesn't try to blow smoke at you. Looking forward to meeting you later today or tomorrow.

Live from Laughlin, NV. The first official post from the GTG!. No pics yet, sorry. But last night, CA_HIKR, SoCalCindy, Wind4Power, Sparqui & his wife as well as myself met AMD1900mp, Ghostwheel and two other members in the casino.

Most of the AZ folks got here around 2pm, so at 8pm, when we arrived, most had already chatted and ate. But Todd and Eric and others greeted us and I won $40 on the big wheel slot. We doubled down and won! Woo Hoo. (Of course, we won't mention the other time I double-down and lost.) ;)

Most are getting ready to head out to Oatman. Gotta run!

Sunday 01/28/07: Caravan to Oatman, Arizona
(Enjoy the OLD WEST town atmosphere

Oatman began about 90 years ago as a mining tent camp and quickly became a flourishing gold-mining community. In 1915, two miners struck a $10 million gold find, and within a year, the towns population grew to more than 3,500. Once a thriving mining community, Oatman, Arizona takes vistors back to the days of the OLD WEST with cowboy gunfights and showdowns in the middle of town. Wild burros roam the streets of this popular setting for many movies and TV westerns. Oatman's most famous visitors were Clark Gable and Carol Lombard who stayed there briefly during thier wellpublicized "elopement" in the 1930s.

8:30a.m. Caravan departs for Oatman.

A mild off-road trip is planned for those who want to travel from Oatman back to Laughlin through the desert.

The off-roaders and the highway cruisers will meet back in Laughlin at Don Laughlin's Resort parking lot. At this time we are planning a dinner GTG either at the Resort or local restaurant, after that we are planning on a bowling tournament.
