DETROIT - HUMMER today announced the pricing for its new 2005 H2 SUT scheduled to hit dealerships in June. Base level models, which include a sunroof and rear spare tire carrier standard, start at $52,845 MSRP (including destination charge), which is approximately $1,500 less than the 2005 H2 SUV on a comparably equipped basis. Quickly following the success of the original H2, the SUT marks the beginning of a growth strategy that includes the introduction of the H3 next year.

I'd like to see them try to keep the window in with the midgate down! >:D

Set up the bed but only for midgets....

I wonder if the TNR Nav will have trail roads on it or is it another grocery-getter address finder, "turn here" type :E:

I like Hummers, but this one ... nah! Back to H1's (If they didn't cost so much! :E:)

The H1 is still the only Hummer. gm should have found a new name for the wannabe. Just my .02

I agree, the H1 is the only truck (Besides a Diesel 2500 or 3500 AV) that could get me out of my current AV...

This new H2 is cooler looking though then the wagon style is...

Ditto....Give me an H1 anytime.

Hangman

Personally, I 'd take the H2 and/or H3 maybe over the H1, PURELY for the reason that I do absolutley NO OFFROADING (except of course for getting OUT of here on the 600KM of dirt road! :E: :E: )

PS:: HANGMAN bro,..... how ya doin!

Perhaps one of those micro crotch rockets, a mini bike or a quad built for a 5 year old. I would say skis but they would probably end up with the front half on the dashboard. ;D I think a cooler might fit back there though. Sort of looks like a really expensive Jeep if you ask me.

Although I think GM has a great idea with the power midgate they should have included it on the AV. Although I do like H2 I would prefer the H2 prototype truck (H3??) that might be released in the next few years.

Way back in 1999, when the vehicle was in the design stage, a power window in the midgate was certainly a desired option. However, because of the constraints (being 80% Suburban, including the back seats and the sheet metal under them) the flatness of the folded midgate was the priority. The midgate would have been twice the thickness and validating the already complicated system would have been in jeopardy.

The program had an extremely agressive timing schedule. The midgate system with power window just didn't fit within the constraints of the program (not to mention money).

Hope that helps...

thanks for explanation

I dont know why some members HATE this particular Hummer model, I find the H2 SUT a muscular&powerful vehicle that outperforms alot of 4x4 trucks out there. just my opinion but if I had cash at hand now would be my next vehicle.

Again, it's a Tahoe chassis.
