I did some last minute shopping for the wife and I wanted to hide her gift before I got it wrapped. So I come home and it hits me, put it in the side storage compartments! She'll never look there! Worked great, I didn't tell her where I hid it and I doubt she'll ever look there.

I did the same thing last night, I hide two toys from my 4 year old boy. (y)

Well,

Since the grand-daughter LOVES Pop Pop's truck, I hid her present from me in the back right side pocket. >:D

It was fun to watch her figure out, which didn't take her long by the way, where I hid the jacket I had gotten her. She's only 2 1/2 but SHARP as a tack!!!

"It's in that thing!" She said, pointing to the carry pocket. LOL!!

MMMMMMMMMM? Now I wonder how she knew I carried all kinds of stuff in those?? ;D

Merry Christmas to all!!!!!!

But did you rememebr it was there? I put a couple in the bed and completely forgot about them. Until she asked about a receipt for something else. When I looked....dam there's the recepit for the gifts in the truck! :-[

I also hid the wifes present in the side box this year. It was the perfect spot. I admit, I am guilty of the hide the mod in the box trick also >:D

I tried ten ways but couldn't get my new Corsa exhaust in there :). Oh well, it would have been hard to hide it forever. Now I just need a couple hours and a buddy to help me throw it on.

My dealer told me they made great beer coolers, just add beer and ice, they drain as the ice melts. :0:

Has anyone done this? It would be great for tailgating.

Yes sir...works great! ;)

I like to use the reusable ice packs in the side boxes to keep things cool. Put a blanket in the bottom then beverages and ice packs then blanket over top. Nice and cold all day long.
Then I dont have people telling me my truck is leaking all the time. :8:

I too have placed stuff in my side compartments-
Forgot about them too untill my wife asks if I looked in "therie latley"..

Go figure.

When I pull my camping trailer, I have to drain the toilet tank into the dump station when we leave the campground. The side storage compartment is perfect to store everything I need to perform this "not to be envied" task.
