When I bought my Av the dealership had to find one for me so the salesman asked me to list my top 3 preferences for color. I said Green, Blue, Black. ?At the time I did not know that Green was the most rare color and Blue was the most popular color. ?He found a Blue one and it didn't really matter to me since I liked both Blue and Green about the same anyway. ?Well the other day I was talking to my wife about the popularity of the Blue and the fact that they discontinued it and I said I'm glad they discontinued the blue since now my Av is more unique. ?I have a first year Av in a color that is no longer available. ?What do you think about this?

If I'm not mistaken isn't the new blue almost similar in color to the Indigo Blue?....at any rate you still qualify for originality..... :B:

I have not seen one in person yet but from what I see in the pictures it is close, the arrival blue might be a little lighter.

I got a black one, but the dealer gave me a blue one to drive untill my black one got here. I got alot of compliments on it. I would prob'ly pick that color as my next choice if black was not available. (y)

I hear the Summit white Av's are also pretty sharp...but you didn't hear it from me, cause I'm not one to gossip... ;D

Yes the indigo blue will be rare but not for another 10-15 years. Right now they made so many indigo blue's that they are everywhere. Once the start to die out they will be rare. I don't think I will have mine that long when this happens.

I've seen a lot of black and few blue AVs around this part of the midwest. Since I drive a black one maybe I notice those more. Actually seeing AVs here is very rare. The only green one I've seen was in Maui..

Ive seen the new blue...Its much different. Its brighter and lighter. I also have the indigo blue...I really like it as well.

GM has discontinued the color from the Avalanche but you can still get it if you buy a:
Trail Blazer
Blazer
Tracker
Tahoe
Suburban
S-10
Express

I'll keep my Avalanche thanks! ;D

I've seen the new blue, it's more of a Royal. As for them being everywhere? I've rarely seen the blue here in Florida, lots of SOM and White... Could be the beach and the heat though. And hey - as for rare... That's what the mods are for! >:D

I agree w/ you, the Indigo Blue is now an original AV and can't be duplicated. The new AV blue is called Arrival Blue and is a much brighter blue, the blue is similar to this blue in the bowtie symbol :B: I have seen it in person and prefer the darker blue to the brighter blue.

I love the indigo and now the AV owners with indigo are the only ones that will own an indigo ble AV is great! That is unless if GM decided to go back to the indigo in the future.

I am happy w/my choice in color, when I went to the dealer to purchase my AV that was the only color I wanted.

MissAvalanche :B:

I like the Indigo Blue, but then I might be biased. ;)

Actually, though, blue was my second choice. My first choice was red, but I couldn't find one within 500 miles that had what I wanted. The wife is happy, however: blue was her first choice. (y)

I kind of like the idea that they aren't made anymore. I like having a truck that's different from everybody else. I ordered my old S-10 P/U just the way I wanted it (cherry red/silver two tone, blacked out trim, black soft tonneau cover, alloy wheels, WOL tires), and to this day I haven't seen one quite like it.

Then I traded it in on a black Blazer, and it looked like almost every other one out there. I was lost in a crowd. :6:

I like standing out from the crowd.

i have the indigo blue as well. but, i was initially drawn in by the forest green. the difference in the deal was my deciding factor (blue $28k and green $34k). the green Av was a demo with almost 6000 miles. it was parked next to the new ones as if it had never left the lot. thing about it was that th green was a Z-71 and the blue a Z-66. the sales man said that the demo was considered new because it had not been registered. bull!!!! :8:

Indigo Blue here too - my first choice by a long shot, not that I don't think the Av in any color is a great truck, but I really love my indy blue Av ;D

I'm glad that I got mine, there are not very many here in Calgary where I live.
:love:my :B:AV

My first choice was the indigo blue as well, but no dealership around my area had one. So I went with my second color the forest green, which I am very happy with. I see blue, black, white and red AVs all over miami, but rarely see another green monster and that makes me very very ver very happy >:D

Black was my first choice, but one couldn't be located because I got mine when they were still only rolled out in three states (regions). Second choice was Pewter, but same problem. I wanted a base AV, the only one I could get a deal on was the Indigo Blue Z-66. At first I passed it up completely as I thought it looked too much like a Military (Navy) vehicle. I got it because it was a Z-66 and I figured the color would grow on me. Grow on me? It took over!! Now I love it and can't believe it wasn't my first choice! I haven't seen an Arrival Blue yet in person, but from the pictures I've seen with the Darker Cladding, I'm sure it's going to be a stunner! Also, with the lighter cladding, the Indigo blue really looks good. I think around here, Mobile, Alabama, SOM and Dark green are the rare colors. :B:

I, too, had to do a locate. My choices were Blue, Green, Red (my wife threw this one in). Well, the locate had a Red one 5 miles away and the others would had to be transported in. The Red is growing on me. :D

Indigo Blue was the only color we wanted after seeing it. Love the fact that GM is changing the color, but it did accelerate our buy. We thought the Arrival Blue was a touch lighter than we wanted.

Had a hard time finding one with 4.10 and other options that we wanted though. As soon as we found one we bought it! Going on two weeks now....

Great move 4.10's , a first year model and the now classic Indigo Blue - lucky guy ;D

Keep the blue... Elvis is dead! The ONLY colour to have is black. It goes faster, looks meaner, chicks dig it and there is no other choice!

Yep, black is the color to have... if you want to look like every other truck out there, and you like to wash it every day, and you like the look of scratches and swirl marks...

I've had black vehicles before, including the black Blazer I traded for the Av. It does look sharp - on the showroom floor. I've had enough of black for now. :p

Skidd, good to see you back. I hope you had a good vacation (or should I say holiday?) ;)
