AC compressor cycling on/of 20 sec

In the past I had an issue with the turn signals which I thought was the lever. I replaced it but the problem continued. Looking at the harness I found a pink wire had sheared. I fixed that and the issue went away. I wonder if there another damaged wire in there. That wire failed due to repeated adjustment of the steering wheel position.

Do you have details on that : "Inflatable Restraint Side Impact Module Replacement - Front" you could share.

MANY thanks for your help!

Yes, that is the attachment to my prior post (#27) (has images). Curious, can you see or download the attachment to my prior post, just wondering because I have never added attachments to a post here?

Here it is:

SIR Service Precautions

Caution

Refer to SIR Caution in Cautions and Notices.

The inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM) maintains a reserved energy supply. The reserved energy supply provides deployment power for the air bags. Deployment power is available for as much as 1 minute after disconnecting the vehicle power. Disabling the SIR system prevents deployment of the air bags from the reserved energy supply.

General Service Instructions

The following are general service instructions which must be followed in order to properly repair the vehicle and return it to its original integrity:

  • Do not expose inflator modules to temperatures above 65°C (150°F).
  • Verify the correct replacement part number. Do not substitute a component from a different vehicle.
  • Use only original GM replacement parts available from your authorized GM dealer. Do not use salvaged parts for repairs to the SIR system.
Discard any of the following components if it has been dropped from a height of 91 cm (3 ft) or greater:

  • Inflatable restraint front end sensor
  • Inflatable restraint IP module
  • Inflatable restraint passenger presence system (PPS)
  • Inflatable restraint seat position sensor (SPS)
  • Inflatable restraint sensing and diagnostic module (SDM)
  • Inflatable restraint side impact modules
  • Inflatable restraint side impact sensors (SIS)
  • Inflatable restraint steering wheel module
  • Inflatable restraint steering wheel module coil

SIR Caution

Caution

When performing service on or near the SIR components or the SIR wiring, the SIR system must be disabled. Refer to SIR Disabling and Enabling Zones. Failure to observe the correct procedure could cause deployment of the SIR components, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

Well I have not been able to fix the SRS yet. I loaded more freon into the HVAC and it worked for approx 6 months.

Now a new mystery. HVAC blows warm, gas is OK, pressure switch is new. HVAC control display wont light up?????

Switches work but not the LED display. Removed and cleaned all fuses, disconnected battery for 30 minutes and tried again (no luck).

Took out switch/control/display (word to the wise the plastic snap clips get brittle and break) cleaned contacts. When you plug in the display shows 75 for 1 sec or less and shuts off.

Ideas????? I have searched and not found solutions. THANKS!
