Deactivate solenoid plate i replaced all afm lifters, Dorman deactivation solenoid plate under plenum and replaced computer im under the impression you have to change cam and switch out lifters to delete the afm system. Didnt think you could bypass it with the afm delete module without doing the other changesvlome is what?
What are you trying to do?
What all work has been done?
Where did parts come from?
Did you buy an AFM DELETE kit? from who?
Did you reprogram computer to remove AFM?
I didnt do a delete i replaced afm lifters and vlom and the ecm after because i thought that might of been causing my issue truck ran great until the afm lifter stuckI think he is referring to the VLOM (Valve Lifter Oil Manifold).
That is the device that sits under the intake manifold that routes the oil to the AFM lifters to activate and deactivate the AFM features.
Typically, an AFM hardware delete replaces the VLOM along with the AFM lifters and cam AND turns off the AFM in the engine's computer.
I wonder if the program changes were not made when the hardware was changed.
Im thinking something electrical kinda now. Want it fixed but dont want to buy anything it doesnt need also. I've got a lot of labor and cash for the parts in it at this point. appreciate any imput!I didnt do a delete i replaced afm lifters and vlom and the ecm after because i thought that might of been causing my issue truck ran great until the afm lifter stuck
