Aftermarket extented warranty high milleage?

I had a warranty company tell me that they would still warranty mine at 130,000... at this point I think I would just wind up fighting with a warranty company with everything I have done to my truck on my own

I'm not sure they have a maximum mileage cut-off with some companies, they just keep charging higher premiums sort of like life insurance. The older you are with more miles on you then the more you pay..  >:D

Some people are against extended warranties since they feel if you can afford the premium then you can put the money in a fund earning interest and then just pay for repairs as needed. So I guess the decision can be made with the idea of you are betting that you will breakdown big time or many times so the insurance pays off...or they could be right in that they hope you don't break down. My guess is they have done the math and on average they will profit in the long run......

Well with these engines, I'd say if your over 200,000 miles, the odds maybe on your side.  However, you're correct the actuaries are a pretty smart group.  I'm guessing the really smart actuaries work for the life insurers.

My wife got the extended warranty for her Subaru Outback and we are REALLY glad she did.  It was offered by Subaru and had a $100 deductible.  Used it three times and more than paid for it the first time when the whole front suspension needed to be rebuilt.  Next time was the driver door lock broke disabling the lock and latch.  Couldn't open the driver door!  They had to rip out the inner door panel to fix it and she got a new door panel as well as all the locking/latching parts plus labor.  About $600 in repairs.  There was something else but I forget what.

They want take my 2004 ava z66 with 73k on it , and they have had after market for sometime , not miles . Age
But I always buy them from my credit union way cheaper 1 small repair and it paid for it self. Just re up on my kids 2009 scion 74k she drove it of the floor, she is good for another 5 years or 75k car is in great shape, Nice to not worry
