Good Day - I have a 2007, 125K Avalanche, 2nd owner - Michigan salt life body starting - I drive around 2500 miles a year - simply use the truck for towing my boat / hauling for home improvements - I know I need to dry her more - ... I put her in for the spring shake down as I do every year and have a very strange, issue that I can not find anything about through research. So I am wondering if I can lean on the group to help? Have issue regarding only having heat at 90 and cold at 86, sensors according to shop are all defaulted at -44 unsure what that means, coolant and all internals are properly working, including actuator door, never ran hot every aspect of the climate control works fine except this .. any ideas or what other information can I supply?

Some information given: Bad brain. Whatever controls that. Disconnect your battery for the weekend. See if that clears it. - run a complete ground check (Will be doing this) ....

Yes I have the small round grill - anyway of telling if this sensor is bad or is it a replace and see if it fixes? Thanks
Sounds like you have it figured out, but the way to test is to check resistance between the two pins on the temp sensor itself. If the circuit is open, it's faulty. If the resistance doesn't change as the temperature changes (hair dryer, ice, etc...) it is faulty. There has to be a chart available online to convert temperature to what the resistance across the sensor shows, but since your problem is solved I'm not going to go digging at this time.
BINGO Thank You
Awesome! Glad you got it going.
