    up date on alarms,,,what kind of alarm works,, today in the mexican news paper, it reports the theives in mexico city can enter your car in 30 seconds,, the paper is the universal,, they say no matter what alarm you have it takes 30 seconds,, yesterday i posted about a school in puebla where they teach how to dismantel in 30 minutes,, how many cars was stolen in mexico city in one year,, now i am talking about mexico city not all of mexico,, 9,500 cars stolen in one year,,, these are the cars that have insurance,,the cars that dont have insurance, they dont report because the police dont do anything anyway, and most of the time its the police.....now what about trailer trucks transporting products,,, 7 tractor trailers every day in mexico city alone,,, so many of these trained people are here need to check our alarms....now we have a friend in el paso, he has a concrete post in front of his house and he has a chain and chains the av to it every night in two places quite a nice prevencion... abuelito

Bolt cutters for that chain would work. There are so many theft devices out there today. I watched a show on this once. A professional theif can and will take your car in 30 seconds or less. Thats another good reason to make your car stand out from the rest. SO the police can locate quickly-we hope.

I can do it in 5 seconds if you give me a hammer.

I realize that that is not the point......

For an alrm to be effective it needs to have the following:

starter kill relay. With this the car cannot be started unless the relay is cut-out then the wires are reconnected.

brain well hidden: Don't put the brain right up under the dsh, this is the first place a thief looks

backup sirens: If you don't have backup sirens, all the thief has to do is pop the trunk and cut the wires...not all that difficult. You can also purchase a hoodlock to prevent this from happening.
