I recently purchased an ATV and an all aluminum trailer - thanx to Wisconsin's salt fetish, the trailer looks awful. What can I use to clean aluminum and protect it ?

naval jelly(make sure it says for aluminum not steel) to clean and wax will protect something like thisaluminum jellyedited to post link

Depending on current condition...
Aluminum oxides and turns chalky and will corrode...so you need to take care of that first....
Then I would paint it.....I mean wax will only protect it for a brief period as it is not intended to prevent corrosion...Wax is designed to be a sacrificial layer on top of paint to help it last longer.....and make it shine as well....
