New member here, was browsing avalanche info and came across this gem of a site and so glad I found some like minded folks who share a love for the chevy avalanche.

I was missing a post titled 10 best mods and seems Amber drl are everybody's favorite mod so my question is this.. I bought these and I'm wondering if it's a plug and play thing or is there more to it?

SYLVANIA - 3157 ZEVO LED Amber...

First welcome to the website!
Putting amber drl were popular years ago when AVs were a novelty and hard to tell from a Silverado or Suburban when approaching from the front. It allowed fellow AV owners to wave at each other in passing with the hope that the other person was a site member.
Your link mentions that you may need a load equalizer to prevent hyper flashing or other issues since they're LED and not standard bulbs. Most members in the day just switched out the stock bulb for one that had had an amber color, to last longer they bought NAL bulbs since the glass was amber through and through not just a painted on coating that just plain amber bulbs would have.

going to be adding mine this weekend and i'm going to stay away from led ones

You don't need load resistors if you are using the LED bulbs for DRL's. You would need them if using for signal lights.
